To draw the parallels between the two. While Bucky was used as a weapon by Hydra, she was used as one by Shield. Not exactly in the same way coz Ghost still had a choice to some extent but I feel her story fits in here too.

@@shruthirh9897 Well, Ava _says_ SHIELD, and she may actually _believe_ that, but given what we know about Hydra and SHIELD during those flashback years, it's _entirely_ possible that the only parts of SHIELD she had any contact with were the ones run by Hydra. That would make her effectively as much an unwitting Hydra weapon as Bucky was an unwilling one.

@@slartimus Interesting theory but as far as we know the guy from shield who was helping her was not part of hydra so it seems unlikely that this was a covert op unknown to shield

@@shruthirh9897 Yes. And for hydra to have gone unnoticed for so long, there had to have been some darkness in shield already. I mean the 3 shield founders (Howard, Peggy, and colonel Phillips) freed and hired Zola shortly after ww2 was over even though they knew that Zola had tortured Bucky and that Bucky had ‘died’ capturing Zola. It also seems like Howard knew that Bucky was still alive before he saw him during his assassination.
