I don’t know if I ever told you Tony but you got me started on piano. I have always wanted to play it but watching one of your old videos made me get serious about it. As a drummer I felt I could relate to you as well.

Oh. I haven't seen your video for a while. I always enjoy your playing and singing. I bought a Roland KC220 amp after watching your video years ago. I noticed that you used different digital pianos in the past, why do you switch to Korg Liano? i would appreciate your feedback on its keybed, sound quality, speaker quality vs your other pianos. And how does it sound when connecting to external amp using only the tiny headphone jack. Thanks!
@tonybartonemusicАй бұрын
I can’t recommend the Liano. It sounds good through it built in speakers. The only sound I like through external speakers in the piano 1. The key bed is not very quiet. It you play softly you will hear the noise from the keyboard bed. The keys are very light like an organ. Not piano like at all. I am making the bet of it because I can’t bother to return it. I did but a Yamaha 225 and it plays and sounds great but 2 times the price

Wonderful cover, Tony! Question: how do you learn songs like these? Do you have a basic chart with lyrics and chord names? Or are these arrangements that you read sheet music for?
@tonybartonemusicАй бұрын
I have lead sheets from fake books. Chords lyrics and melody. I don't read sheet music very well.
@CryhaiАй бұрын
@@tonybartonemusic I see! So the little licks at the end of lines/phrases are improvised by you, correct? Do you have any advice on how you come up with them when you play these songs? They are always so beautiful and fitting
@tonybartonemusicАй бұрын
I really just use chord tones. The chords I use already have 7th’s and 9th’s in them. Experiment and trust your ear. Good luck !

This strikes me as a lonely character from old Pixar films. A wiser old person, facing a still-okay-but-bleaker world, and expressing how he can. Feels very special, and partially because its in its own little corner. I am happy here; I know times like this make moments like now, and I am happy to be now.
