Tina was bi, not a lipstick lesbian. Bette was her first girlfriend, only men before her, and a man after her too. Bette was not butch. She wore many feminine clothing, dresses and skirts. She wore suits for work!?!?

I've been alive 41 years on earth. im a professional artist abstract painter. im a professional image consultant. im a professional speaker and storyteller. The film the love witch is easily one of the best films I have watched in my entire life. im honestly obsessed with the film. instantly shot into my top ten movies I've ever watched. thought provoking, rich complex character development, dazzling set design and costume design and execution. I've watched it at least 10 times in the last 6 months cause its so in depth and visual and brilliant. I want to compare her work to Kubrick but that doesn't even do her justice she is in a league of her own. the love witch is 10/10 .

Wow, you judged an entire seven season series based on the pilot. Had you actually watched the show, you would know things like Dana's character was also neurodivergent, although they didn't beat the audience over the head with it, Alice was in fact not bisexual, but Tina was, and Jenny was coming out as lesbian, not bisexual. The show covered topics based on audience feedback. Bette and Tina were both described by the creators as lipstick lesbians; butch characters in the show were very different. A lot of the privilege your generation takes for granted came about because of the mainstream popularity of The L Word. Maybe you ought to research how people felt about things like same sex marriage before and after the show's run. You're so typical of Gen Z, cancel and condemn before you know the facts. You're creating the world you deserve, and it won't be a nice one. You aren't so different from the governor of Florida.

Bette is ‘butch’ because she wears suits to work? And how did you get from ‘characters who are in a sex scenes’ to they’re only sexualised because they’re gay? 7 minutes of you declaring lesbians aren’t represented and then you listing all of the different representations. Marina isn’t trying to ‘turn her’ she’s trying to do her. But either way those lesbians exist. It’s a pretty accurate representation of lesbian communities. Bisexuals do get sh*t off gay people. Lesbians who enjoy sex do exist. When people are questioning their sexuality they are often afraid of letting go of their heterosexuality. Utter bs from beginning to end.

Just watched this for the first time in an age... and had to do a double take. The couple here could almost be sisters to the leads in Walk With Me. The resemblances are uncanny. I can feel my plot bunnies doing little dances in my head at the story possibilities :-) kerk

Anna Biller is so hypnotic; I could listen to her talk forever. When she raises her eyebrows & asks, "you know?" I'm like, yes anything you say. I love how geeky & smart she is. It's inspiring. You can just tell she's watched hundreds and hundred of films like any serious director out there. She is really committed to putting her perspective out there. Sad to say, but that is a truly feminist thing!
