Heya, do you prime at all the inside before painting it black? (and do you clear coat it? I'm guessing it might be less necessary since it won't be exposed to the elements as much?)
@lizzyv975419 күн бұрын
I would guess that you should, since you will be sweating and breathing heavily into it and that condensation can cause weathering too

Excuse me, is it just me or I saw a certain flag at the thumbnail of this video? I apologize if I mistook it.

Thank you for this video, I was clueless on how to paint a mask beforehand

Awesome. But what is the last spray you used? Bad English listener here lol.
@breaddonor2765 ай бұрын
The last spray was a "clear coat" its a clear protective layer that helps prevent the paint from getting scratched or chipping off

I appreciate all of the nice comments on this video, but as a heads up I'm a trans woman and don't appreciate being called "man" or "bro." I know this is an older video and I hadn't really started voice training yet but I figured I should say something. No hard feelings for those who didn't know.

I actually have used Vadi's Falcon stance for this. I just put the sword up and then cut horizontally to the belly, regardless of what cut I do I need to transition downwards so the defender usually assumes I'll go diagonal and down but then I just curve it way harder and slash their belly. Works at least the first time in almost every match.

what kind of coat is the clear one at the end? Is it a sealant? I have a can of red acrylic that I am planning on using on my black mask (red dragon) for an Astartes design. Should I do this clear coat?

how hard would you consider your sparring sessions to be and if they are, how well has the mask been holding up? pls and ty
@maeve-of-blades Жыл бұрын
theyre reasonably intense. nothing too brutal. the paint is still holding up fine, just not as high-contrast as when i first painted it. sometimes ill touch up the black parts with a paint pen.

I cannot properly express how grateful I am for this video's existence. This is the EXACT thing I am trying to do, and with your excellent guide I had rigged Tahu model in less than 30 minutes. Thank you a million times for taking the time to record this.

Thanks so much for this tutorial. i especially liked your coverage of inverse kinematic bones (i haven't been able to figure them out in Blender for my MOCs so this helped a lot!) Are you interested in making a tutorial for your process of animating MOCs in Blender?

So what exactly does making an empty do for the rig?
@maeve-of-blades2 жыл бұрын
The cube empty or the sphere empty in the bumpers? The cube empty isn't for the rig at all, it's there to help you get the model properly centered relative to the world coordinates prior to rigging. If you just select the whole model and press Alt+G, every single part will be given the coordinates 0, 0, 0. The sphere empty at the beginning and end isn't for the rig, it's for the camera. The camera is parented to the empty and the empty rotates at a fixed rate to provide a turnaround effect.
