Just wish this was a bit larger but like a modern shammy leather great in the professional scene we’re no time to be washing loads of plush drying towels

They are good I say a modern chammy leather. It more suited to the professional market where I use them where u haven’t got time to dry many thick plush drying towels. I wish it was a bit bigger than it is and is not the most durable but works well

Really impressed with this product. Basically I got sick of bucket washing by hand and bought an AVA go55 pressure washer. It came with a foam gun so I used that with the Polar Blast. Lots of foam and I used just over half of the 600ml mix. The sun came out annoyingly so one side was drying too fast. Rinsed off a bit too soon but couldn’t really fault the results. Had my hand wash bucket ready as a follow up but hardly used it. Grabbed Autoglym rapid wax, applied a sparingly amount and buffed it to a good shine. 3 weeks later and everything still looks good and I’m looking forward to the next wash and clean with Autoglym❤

So it’s the pre wash, snow foam and then the shampoo/conditioner?
@AutoglymUK22 күн бұрын
You can pre wash/pre spray with Polar Blast or All Purpose Cleaner (Then rinse off). For the contact wash use Polar Wash or one of our shampoos such as Bodywork Shampoo Conditioner.

hi, i used the polar seal, but leave marks on my car, how to remove those marks?
@AutoglymUK28 күн бұрын
Hi, Polar Seal will potentially leave marks if used in hot weather, direct sunlight or if not rinsed off thoroughly. If immediate we recommend Fast Glass, but if it has had a chance to dry fully, use Intensive Tar Remover to remove.

Can this be used on ventilating seats? Or will it clog the circulating perforation holes?
@AutoglymUKАй бұрын
On perforated seats, just apply a small amount at a time and use an applicator to help avoid filling the perforations. Sparingly spread, do 2 coverings to ensure the seat is nourished if needed.

Will this work with the nilfisk excellent 145?
@AutoglymUKАй бұрын
We would advise comparing the end of your rinse lance where it fits into your pressure washer trigger against the images for both Nilfisk adaptors, this should help you find the right one.
@SibbyStiggyАй бұрын
Rinse from bottom up makes no sense at all. You should know better.
@AutoglymUKАй бұрын
The method here is that you'll be washing away the heavier dirt deposits at the bottom first and leave a visual indicator as to where to rinse next, rinsing from the top down will start pulling snow foam down the entire car and you may miss an area.

Quick question, my pressure washer has packed up and had to be sent back to the manufacturer for a service, my spare pressure washer doesn’t have an injector input or a foam lance which is quite frustrating when this products is a well liked customer option - what dilution would you recommend in a pump up foam bottle in the short term? Or should I use express wax temporarily until the pressure washer returns? Thank you!
@AutoglymUK2 ай бұрын
We would advise using Express Wax instead while you wait, Coat-It ideally needs to be sprayed all over the vehicle quickly then rinsed off, using a pump sprayer might lead to the product drying as you work your way around the car.
@stevedouglas21812 ай бұрын
Just used this at the weekend, brilliant, one question, where do I set my mix valve on the blaster, in our out
@AutoglymUK2 ай бұрын
Having it fully open is a starting point then dial it in to achieve the foam you want, sometimes this is needed to softer or harder water areas where you might need a stronger dilution of product.
@stevedouglas21812 ай бұрын
Looks impressive, what setting should the foamer be set at, thick foam or thinner? TIA
@AutoglymUK2 ай бұрын
Polar Seal is more about spreading the product around the car rather than it's foam so a good wide spread, cover the car and then rinse off straight after.

As an occassional use only, this stuff is great for car shows if you've had to travel a few miles to display your car! With the car fully detailed the day before, this serves me as a wet preparation prior to using a high gloss Quick Detailer (QD) on arrival at the showground to remove light dust and restore lustre. I take a bucket, a 10L container of water and a pre-measured dose of 'Quick Refresh' in the boot. My method is to slosh off and dry one panel at a time using the instadry cloth; rinsing and wringing out the solution for drying. Then when the car is clean, I can go over it again with a super glossy QD; reducing the risk of dragging dust on a dry towel as you can get with using QD on its own.

No need to use the Leather Balm after cleaning. Here are some of Autoglym's replies found in this comment section: -- "No, we do not recommend the use of Leather Care Balm on steering wheels. Although when used correctly Leather Care Balm will leave a non-slippery, greasy free finish, when used incorrectly it can lead to a slippery surface. so we do not want to advise people take the risk on such an important surface as a steering wheel where grip levels are of paramount importance." -- "Leather Cleaner alone won't cause the leather to dry out as it contains the necessary oils to keep it in good shape. We wouldn't recommend the Care Balm on steering wheels to avoid making it too slippery, similar to not using dressings on driver controls." -- "No, we do not advise using Leather Care Balm on any control surfaces such as steering wheels or gear sticks just to be on the safe side, as if the balm is over applied it can lead to slightly reduced grip." --"We do not recommend applying Leather Care Balm to the steering wheel, as if it is applied or used incorrectly it can cause an increase in slipperiness. This is not a desirable quality in a steering wheel, or any driving control." -- "No, we do not recommend the use of Balm on the steering wheel." -- "Great question. We would NOT recommend the use of Leather Care Balm on the steering wheel as there is the potential for a lack of friction. It is a very small chance, but you don;t want to play about with the grip on a steering wheel." -- "We don't recommend you dress the steering wheel or add any balms etc. Much safer to just clean it and leave the leather clean and dry."

@AutoglymUK2 ай бұрын
It's great! However, for really bad cases, you may want to apply the cleaner, agitate then leave overnight under cover (e.g. plastic sheets/bin bags) then resume the clean the next day to really get rid of stubborn algae and lichen.

Could I use a APC in this? Got it rough with rust proofing my car each year, just the build up of the sticky oil substance and Polar Blast can't break it up. Also, Kinda sucks you guys are pulling out of canada, I had a feeling something was up when all your best products started to disappear off the shelf.
@AutoglymUK2 ай бұрын
We can only advise on the Polar Blaster's use with the Polar Series as they were developed for it. Other foaming chemicals can go through ti and foam up, but if they are not designed to foam then it's like likely the product will slip off the vehicle.

No to steering wheels or any controls as they will become slippery. Otherwise it can be used on any unpainted plastic surface.
