I definitely think it made it better! Even more so, if the rug was a round shape or more square to where it would still show parts of the floor, it’d make the space feel more put together. Instead of it basically being a carpeted floor.

Renting is never ideal, you're borrowing someone else's space. I can see how some people could get attached but you fooled yourself into thinking someone else's place is yours. It was always temporary. Look into owning so you have a forever home or look into van life if you are on a budget. You set yourself up for failure by believing that renting ment you the place was yours and your agent did their job by making you think they were there for you. Their job is to make you money off you they are not your friends. Lick your wounds and learn a hard lesson in life. Don't be so naive.
