For projects like these I use Zbrush for sculpting, substance painter for texturing, Maya for retopo and 3D animation, Fusion or After effects for compositing! I used After Effects to composite this project(: hope that helps let me know if you have more questions!

We didn’t want something too big/advanced only because that would push back our release date even further but we then didn’t wanna fall short so hopefully what we did was good enough for people to enjoy!

I used this to make CGI videos from Maya and After Effects but the camera track isn't the same as my real camera view which means my objects are moving around a little bit. Do you know why?>

@@juyeonsung6365 Sounds like it could be the wrong frame rate? Make sure to right click on your footage and go to clip attributes to see if your frame rate is matching with everything. After effects automatically has everything set to 30Fps so when you import your footage always make sure you double check your frame rates.

@@seans_lifeinthecinema Honestly I didn’t have CST be apart of my work flow for awhile until more recently. So no it’s not super needed but if you’re trying to get the most out of your color grade why not use it! So now I just use it with everything(: but you can definitely still get nice looking grades without CST workflow(: hope that helps!

Also this made me wonder if lighting different skin tones has a science to it. If Sydney was replaced by someone with a darker skin color, would you set it up the same way and just make a few slight adjustments ? I'm guessing lighter skin reflects more light off it than darker skin.

It was very soothing :) Also seeing those clips of quiet place 2 made me less excited to see the new one - I forgot just how beautiful the first two are.
