I’m quite passionate about Asian/Oriental culture + I read about + watch every documentary that comes our way here in the UK. And despite the glamour in K Drama’s for example, it is obvious the behaviour + mindset will take much more time for change with regard to the dominant stronghold in the Mother + Son relationships. And also the male entitlement in treating their wives + women in general, not least the workplace…with complete indignity + disrespect…needs to be brought into the 21st Century It was very much like that here until the 1960’s which brought great changes in the west. I actually grew up witnessing my fathers mother, treat my mother in a very similar way to Korean women with sons. It was commonplace in most families here + only changed when people started to travel away from their places of birth. Thank you Jane Han, I enjoyed learning about your personal experience. 🙋♀️😁🇬🇧

Hello, Jane. My name is Chang Jung. I hope this email finds you well. I write for an online news media called 'Oh My News' and was hoping to interview you for an article. You may have heard about Seoul City's pilot project to import Filipino caregivers as domestic workers with an aim. There is an on-going debate in Korea whether the minimum wage law should be applied to the foreign caregivers. One side argues that the minimum wage(411.81 peso) is too high and it will not lessen the burden of Korean families. The other side argues that one must not discriminate because they are foreigners. Many so-called experts are arguing from boths sides, but I believe one important voice is missing. That is the voice of ordinary Filipinos. May I please hear what you think about that issue? The interview can take place in any format that you prefer(written/face-to-face). For more information about thie issue please fine the link below. If necessary, I can explain more to you. -> www.channelnewsasia.com/east-asia/south-korea-foreign-caregiver-pilot-filipino-domestic-worker-helper-wage-maids-4574346 If you are curious about what I have written so far, you can find the link below. -> www.ohmynews.com/NWS_Web/View/at_pg_gp.aspx?CNTN_CD=A0002794677

Which clinic or which doctor did you go or would you recommend in Seoul Korea,?
@janehan4 ай бұрын
I suggest check out some of the nearest dental clinics in your area. Dental implants will require multiple visits so it’s best that you get your treatment nearby. Most Korean dentists can also communicate in English so communication shouldn’t be a problem.:)

Hi~ I bought them in Korea but they’re currently sold out. They were limited edition collaboration items so I don’t think they’re still available.🥹

Hey! I saw them on some websites while searching, but the fact is I'm not sure about the security terms of these websites. They may be spam or fraud. I'm very concerned about such terms. Btw, Thanks for your reply. 💜💜💜💜💜💜🔮🔮🔮🥰🥰

Question if ok for hubby to cheat is ok for the wife to cheat as well?
@janehan5 ай бұрын
The woman will most likely be more ostracized (than men) for cheating, but just the same, adultery is not a crime in Korea. Not saying it’s okay, though.😅

What if you travel to another country from time to time do you still have to have to go back to Korea
@janehan Жыл бұрын
If you have permanent residence somewhere else and have no reason to stay in Korea for good, you don’t really need to stay. But if you have family here, a job you have to keep or children who go to Korean schools, especially a Korean citizen son who should serve in mandatory military draft, then I believe you’ve got to be back.:)

Instead marry an American b c. They are actually more liberal . Koreans are mostly conservative. Superficially Korea looks like a fun place but once married you are stuck with a family that will control your every move so don’t do it .
@willybyun1834 Жыл бұрын
100 percent correct. Me being a Korean man , I feel sorry for the foreign women who suffer under a Korean family once marrying a Korean guy. My advise once the live is gone , divorce rates skyrocket.
