Well, when Clipsieville is gonna be super tiny, guess you def have to adapt and not do regular modular styles :D

@clipsiesbricks11 күн бұрын
Thanks! With the ever increasing cost of Lego I’ve decided to focus on using the sets and parts I have in my collection. By building smaller I think it’ll lead to more creative builds!

Enjoying the progress. May have to borrow some of your design rules for some of the newer buildings that I am thinking about.

Although arguably the modular style is considered the gold standard scale for Lego Cities, I think building at smaller scales will challenge me to look at things in new ways. Plus modular scale builds require a lot of parts and I want to find new ways to build using the parts and sets I have in my collection. If nothing else it should be fun! 😃

I really love your design style and the way you think about where to run wires and how to ad duct work. It’s perfect! I saw in another video you ordered some tiles, where do you get those? I would like a trusted source when I need a few odd bits or colors. Thank you.

Thank you very much!! Generally I order direct from TLG, but sometimes if I’m placing a BL order I’ll see what the seller has to offer and then add to my order if I see something interesting. 🙂

I like your builds. I love the windows and paneling on the outside of the bottom floor. The curtains in the next floor are nice. Very “New Orleans”. The fortune teller floor is great, but I’d be interested to see it with white square tiles instead of the eyelash circular tiles.
@clipsiesbricks2 ай бұрын
Thanks!! I’ll try to remember to include a comparison with your suggestion in the next update! I honestly hadn’t considered straight white tiles since I have so many of the round “eye” tiles and I’ve been trying to find ways to use them! I’m definitely curious myself now! 😁

The color choice you made makes sense to not overload your city with one single color pallette. The candles scare me. Did the ghosts get that angry to help raise the flames higher? 😊 Great work!!

Great to see someone with about the same amount of space as I have being creative! Lately I found myself watching some smaller channels/cities to draw inspiration from. Slapping down another 30 baseplates like Bricksie for a project is just not realistic and probably never will be😂😅 Keep up the good work!

Right?!?! 😆 Welcome to the community! I appreciate you watching and commenting! I think that small spaces have a lot of potential and require approaching things in a creative way!! It's cool to see you start your little city. Ive just moved house temporarily so I have such a small space now and had to pack all my lego stuff away. It's really difficult. Hopefully over the next year or so I will get a bigger space ,when I move again, but for now I shall enjoy watching yours evolve!

@clipsiesbricks4 ай бұрын
The Brick Bank is tough because of the ground floor printed windows plus the sand green window frames can be expensive! I applaud your efforts!! I found parting out the modulars I didn’t have addictive and really educational as far as using Bricklink and finding unique (and cheaper) alternatives to some of those old rare parts! Good luck and thanks for commenting! I appreciate you! 🙂
