Why exactly 37fps all the time?

FPS does change aspects of the run slightly - 30 FPS gives a slightly higher jump, which improves consistency in a number of places, and 50/60 FPS will cause gems to fall faster, allows you to skip dialogue/menus faster, etc. 37 FPS is a solid middle ground, you get a slightly better jump than 50, but have better dialogue/menu speed than 30. Still, over the course of 3-4 hours the differences aren't that noticeable, so it's up to the runner to decide what feels best. Good question!
