The small bronze coin at the end looks like a numus of Magnentius, or his brother Decentius.

Over here in the UK one of my favourite artefact groups to find is military buttons from the 18th - 19th century. 🙂.

For crud build up on Silver coins or that thick brown layer that can be found on hammered and roman silver I use Lidls lime scale remover ( blue liquid ) put some on the crud area leave for a couple of minutes and work at the area with a cocktail stick then repeat. 😀. The liquid softens the crud and makes it easier to remove. 🙂.

No need to apologize about not looking for Roman one day 😀 I am a 40+ year veteran in this hobby of metal detecting over here in the UK and even though I detect mostly in the fields I love detecting beaches so a change is always welcome. 🙂.

Конечно же мои поздравления! Я сам собираю древний Рим. И находил тоже. Большая к вам просьба - не протирайте серебро перчаткой, на монете остаются мелкие царапины...

Good subject matter and very nice coins. Thanks for the history lesson. Modern money from many nations doesn’t compare to nice vintage pieces.

Nice finds! Congrats! A couple are misidentified though--the 2 soldiers with standards "GLORIA EXERCITVS" is actually Constantine II (one of Constantine's sons). Legend reads "CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C". This is common mistake to make, but the IVN differentiates the 2. The other one I think is misidentified is the Philip I (the Arab) coin. I believe that one to be Valerian. His portrait does look similar, but legend reads Valerian. Keep up the great finds though. A bit envious I can only obtain they through purchasing from people like you having the real fun and can't go out and look for them locally.

Amazing finds, I've been detecting for 1 and a half year and only got 1 silver denarius so far, in areas near Emerita Augusta. How do you find such good areas to detect? Gratz for ur finds!
@MD_Panonnia Жыл бұрын
Most of my field are my own find locations, locations wich were never before searched, and thus is result of so many finds.. not to brag but I have 4 roman locations discovered, officialy unknown before in my local museum, and thats only reason for such great results. Cheers

nice finds, what are the rules for metal detecting in the balkans?

It depends from country to country. In Croatia is allowed to detect but not on registred archeological and protected sites. Cheers
