I just found your channel, you are soo cute and I love you already❤️ its so fun finding another horror, tragedy girlie (you mentioned A Little Life and the Poppy War so we immediately became besties in my mind😂). This is me recommending slice of life but eerie, out of the blue unsettling literature. You can try The Dangers of Smoking in Bed by Mariana Enriquez (more horror leaning) and Revenge by Yoko Ogawa (unsettling) for starters. I hope you give these a shot and you enjoy them. Audiobook is honestly the best thing for readers. Genuinely, I use it on all my downtime -- including when I'm doing my morning/night time routine. Changing into home clothes as soon as you get home is big mood. You will not catch me wearing outside clothes inside my home 😂 comfort >> fashion honestly. I've been doing video game while listening to audiobooks as well, because they really work well together especially for grindy games or games without much dialogue (eg. stardew/animal crossing/fields of mistria). OH MY GOD, your birdie pooping on your hand 😭I gasped, and shooketh. When you showed the screen at 5:47, I thought you meant AM. Because I've definitely done that. I am not hydrated though, please don't call me out like that you, sour milk you. But I don't know. 💀

OMG you are a genius! I'm about to go play some games with audiobooks now!!! OMG I never thought of that before, i've just been vibing to game soundtracks and sometimes crying of boredom during grindey games XD. YOU GOTTA HYDRATE!!!! I chug a glass or two right when I wake up, to get it out of the way. I got little frat creatures saying CHUG CHUG CHUG to me in my delirious, half-asleep state helping me get through all the water XD

I actually take breaks like you! I lowkey have conditioned myself to keep reading or doing tasks by giving myself a treat every time I complete a task XD OR HAVING a treat like ice cream or snacks while reading makes me read for longer. If that isn't working, I read for 20 mins, then do something I don't like, such as schoolwork. This makes me NOT want to do assignments and use reading as a way to procrastinate. So a little brain hack in my part XD. Thank you for being nice about my hair! I actually miss my long hair but its whatever 😭😭❤️

The E-reader has saved me money 😭🫡. I currently have the Kindle Paperwhite Gen 11 (this is the one released in 2021). There is a new 2024 release but it has issues, so I would recommend getting a refurbished edition of the old one. If you are new to e-readers, The kindle basic is the best choice. It's smaller, but it basically has the same stuff. This was my baby for a while until I upgraded since I wanted the waterproof function of the paperwhite (basic doesn't have waterproofing).

I'm currently on Poppy War series and it's SO good, but it's intense and emotional. But you are on the nose about a lot of her writing is so close to history that I don't really know if it's based on real or added some fictional elements to it because I'm not the most familiar with Asia's history. I was so mad I felt her rage. YES! The event there was something I remember but I had to look it up. It is extremely close to history.
