Thanks for doing this review. I was taken in by one reviewer back in 2016 & bought the 58V Line Trimmer later that year & was so impressed I bought the mower too. The next year I got the blower they had then, hedge trimmer (but that was a heavy beast) & the 16" chainsaw (they brought it lastly as 18"). The 58V mower has gone through a couple of modifications since then using a different blade & the front leading edge with a little clearance, but still the same 1200 Watt motor. I also bought the 58V Brushcutter model with a bike handle & the attachments for the line trimmer. Late 2023 I decided to get the (58V) 8Ah Line Trimmer kit with a bonus 4Ah battery in the hope of using the 8Ah battery in my mower. Unfortunately, that old model mower would not run with the 8Ah battery, only 4Ah, but all other tools were fine. I was hoping to top up my batteries as two out of the six 4Ah batteries I had were going faulty (can't escape that as they don't last forever). The beginning of 2023 I saw the 21" self-propelled 58V mower with 2 X 4Ah batteries kit going on clearance. It was the last display unit & I got a further discount. I really love that mower, although I had to add a piece of stainless steel shim to protect the plastic edge in the discharge area of the chassis from being damaged with grass clippings etc getting caught there. Unfortunately the two batteries that came with the kit were so dead they didn't charge. I followed procedure & had Bunnings order two more in, but when the Ryobi rep was in there (same company), he just said give me the 8Ah batteries instead. Actually, the new bonus 4Ah battery (from the Line Trimmer 8Ah kit) developed a fault a couple of months later & was replaced & been fine since. I now have 4 older 4Ah, one new 4Ah & 3 x 8Ah batteries to keep me going, which is just as well now that AEG has decided to pull all their 58V range now. The voltage range was only marketed in Australia & NZ & was no longer viable (particularly when they had problems with some of their later generation batteries). All my gear is going fine now, but I am very disappointed the 58V line is no longer available. I also have their 12" 18V chainsaw, hedge trimmer & Line Trimmer which is lighter (with a smaller 33cm arc) & fine for my grass edging, but I use the 58V Line Trimmers, one for heavy trimming in the bush back yard & the other for the pole hedge trimmer, pole saw & edger attachments (they can be used on the 18V Line Trimmer as well, albeit with a downgraded capacity). Let me know how that discontinuation of 58V range has affected you.

Here is the review that got me started with the AEG 58V range of outdoor gear. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pamkfnx4Yrx3Zqcfeature=shared Since then I have several 58V gear & also 18v outdoor & workshop tools after receiving some 'freebies'.

Now watch it go back to the way it was 😢. It got like that for a reason

Yeah sometimes it’s just the reality of it..but sometimes it inspires people to keep it maintained before it gets that way again..sometimes they just can’t and maybe we can inspire their neighbours to help out!

Not a huge area but thickness of grass made it a huge problem 😮 However, surely this night-worker doesn’t work 7 nights per week, week in week out….? I’ve done my time working nights but I did get time to deal with “domestic duties” 😊

Yeah ! For sure I think things just got too much and the grass grow extremely quickly in summer 🤷🏽 I’m not complaining makes for a good vid! 😉😉

Day walkers don't understand that to a person of the night 3am is the time to mow the lawn. The law is very one sided on who can disturb people and who cant.

Unbelievably wrong, you choose your work, never expecting every one to * fit * in with you.

I was a shift worker for 20 years prior to my lawn mowing business. I know all too well the difficulties and challenges of night work. But to mow a lawn at 3am??? I’d need some fancy headlights in my lawn mower 😎

@@mowitmick why you continue to chose any time the wrong the hit and go on your brushcutter honda if the brand it's failed why they have the cam in plastic and with the heat tends to melted it with the risk stuck the engine inside or remain stuck the belt
@mowitmick8 күн бұрын
Not sure what you mean, however if your saying the Honda I’m using is not very good then I think your wrong I’ve never had any issues with it overheating or burning anything thanks for your comment 😊
