I was like 1 years old the PlayStation 2 came out. I was young but I grew up with ps2. I have it today and played need for most wanted on it. PS5 got the graphics but ps2 has the memories.

PSone to PS2 graphics was a generation leap. Rest of the PlayStations followed looks essentially the same.. Which I believe why the PS2 outsold any other PlayStation to this day

I enjoyed the ps3 but this era was all about the 360 that machine was amazing so many great multiplayer games had good times online with friends.

@@starrims It's because this video clearly states "2000" in the title. But that was moot because you shared a clip of a gamestop guy comparing the PlayStation 2 and the PlayStation 2 Slim, the Slim PS2 Model released in late october 2004, which also isn't the original release year of 2000.

I remembered when the system 1st launched i wanted 1 so bad my parents couldn't afford to buy it for me at that time. But luckily my Mom got me 1 the 80gb version for my 17th Birthday the 1st game i got was Killzone 2. I was so amazed on how gorgeous the game looked plus i like the fact the ps3 has a blu-ray player and internet browser. The system was way ahead of its time glad i still kept mine.

It hit the shelves in my country around mid 2007. I was 19 and I couldn't afford one for the life of me. But I would go to the electronics store where a girl I knew worked, and they had one on display with MotorStorm in the drive, and I would play for like an hour, cracking jokes with the old security guard. Time flies real fast.

Believe or not but I’m still playing my PS3 (super slim ) sometime on my 4K TV. Though the console was so old , but it still hold a special place in my heart. It was still “the future, advance game console” as I remember when I first heard of it back in 2005

Didn't get mine until July 7th 2007. My 17th birthday :) As soon as I saw that big boxed all wrapped up, I knew what it was. And was playing Resistance non stop online. But man...what a year that was too for a many great games!

You've got it all wrong... Even if the ps3 was as expensive as the new ps5 pro you should already know that the ps3 at $700 had a 60go hard drive at the time that was very expensive and it is also the only ps3 model to have had backward compatibility with ps2 games.... The worldle a 700 then disappeared from sales because it was too expensive and sony created a cheaper model with lesser performance... As a reminder, the ps5 pro doesn't have a disc drive which is a scam, so no, the ps5 pro today is much more expensive than the ps3 of the time. And we could play online without having to pay for ps+ nowdays 😅

M dad told me we couldn’t afford the ps3 so to ask for a Wii Or Xbox 360. I couldn’t make up my mind and waited till Christmas and it was a ps3 lol. I was so shocked

There are lot of things that need improvement, cant beleve apple made a half baked product this time, you can’t do operations on the results like if you add 2 numbers then you cant multiple on the result , you have to copy the result and then do the multiply operation
