«Inside plays a lullaby, Slurred voice over children cries, On the inside» Had the pleasure to catch a Opeth show at House of Blues, Orlando, Fl several years ago. (Dark Tranquility opened). Absolutely fab show! Music brilliant, Mikeal is a natural born comedian to boot! Double pleasure indeedy!

Now if their new albums were just a tad closer to this, I'd definitely still be listening. Still, Opeth are one of the all-time greats.

I haven't heard any of their stuff after Watershed, but up until that album, this is probably my favorite song by them. Either this or "Burden". <3

Nothing wrong with Steven Wilson's style... Opeth rocks anything they do.,. Regardless of their influences!

Opeth at their peak songwriting-wise, no doubt about it. Åkerfeldt, Lindgren, Mendez & Lopez, the classic lineup.

der Mann Well yeah, Steven Wilson produced Blackwater Park, Deliverance & Damnation, so... Also he played keyboards, piano, mellotron and sang backing vocals on all three albums, he was very involved in the music.

Deathshuck he produced everything after bwp.

Luka Sazdanovic No he didn't. He was involved with Heritage, but not Watershed and Ghost Reveries.

Deathshuck Heritage was nothing to write home about. I guess even the greatest progressive death metal artist in all of rock history can have a bad year.
