hi Mark re taking the water temp very interesting I fish a pit of 50 acres and deep, does the temperature change from in the shallows as carp do tend to head for shallows as seems to be the first bit to warm up, to say the middle deep part of the lake where you may be fishing a spot? so where do you take your readings from in the edge or flick the temperature gauge out on the end of a rod under a marker float for something?

Hi Mark would you use 2 x 12mm baits on this if you stop the bottom bait from sliding down the hair

Same as chilly if this gets done how does it not tangle around shank and reset itself it's a no from me

That was exactly a knotless knot… They’ve seen all sorts of shanks, gapes, etc - all that line aligner has done is extend the shank. Personally, whilst I see that this has obviously worked. I’d love to see the efficiency of this rig. I suspect it might be treated in a way we haven’t seen due to hair length. I suspect it flies right under the radar due to the behaviour of the bait and it being taken in and chewed on and the panic setting not being engaged until the pherangial teeth start doing their work. Whilst I might sound like I’m knocking this, not at all. Just thinking aloud. Like anything, it will have its remit to work.

Or use a chod rig and cast as far as you like.
@PBPRODUCTSUK Жыл бұрын
Albeit a valid point but Mark fishes with bottom baits and has banked many big fish using this tactic, for the chod rig to of worked he would of had to deviate from fishing on the bottom
@1966wasp Жыл бұрын
@PBPRODUCTSUK not at all. Just using a bottom bait on a stiff section like he's already doing. But have more contact with the chod setup. Using the bead high is like using a long rig without the anxiety.
@Toronto_James Жыл бұрын
Nothing new here. Watched someone use pretty much exactly the same rig as this fishing in the weed on Alders trout lake over 30 years ago. He used a shot as an anchor with a critically balanced bait on a 4ft silkworm hooklink with 2ft closest the lead treated with superglue to stiffen it up to avoid tangles. Watched him catch 4 fish - all of them swam over the weed & we saw them take the bait from the high bank behind the swim.
@jamesbarr6379 Жыл бұрын
Have I missed where he says whether it’s a pop up or bottom bait? I presume it’s a pop up but you never know with Mark 🙈 seeing as he loves a bottom bait as per his last rig demo
@PBPRODUCTSUK Жыл бұрын
This is fished on a straight out the bag bottom bait with marks liquid soaked bottom baits bud
@jamesbarr6379 Жыл бұрын
@@PBPRODUCTSUK why do you need to counter balance it with weight then? sorry it’s just not explained … that’s why I thought it was a pop up. Surely over weed you wouldn’t want more weight than is required.
@PBPRODUCTSUK Жыл бұрын
@@jamesbarr6379 The point mark has made on this is to help keep the the most important part of the hook link pinned down , whilst also aiding hooking. By doing so instead of using putting he can help keep it pinned down with the concept above
@jamesbarr6379 Жыл бұрын
@@PBPRODUCTSUK thanks guys 👍🏽
@jamesharrison5004 Жыл бұрын
The long boom is doing nothing to aid presentation, especially when you stick a mesh bag on it. A std heli set up and a critically balanced bait will do the job just as well.
@Oinkbubbadoo Жыл бұрын
Or a long running balanced naked chod....😉
