I was living in Kansas City for my life I applied for FA with Delta I got the job and got based in Los Angeles I wanted Salt Lake City but hey LA is amazing even tho it’s on fire now

This answer varies because it all depends on how much you work and what pay level you are at. For me currently, I try to work about 100 hours or so a month which puts me at about $4k for the month.

Hello B. I just got hired by a certain airline myself. I have training in the first week of Dec.2023. You and I have sooo much in common that I had to comment to you, comments I usually don't do. I reside in South Florida also at the moment. I NEVER LIKED SOUTH FLORIDA. Anyway, b4 starting my new airline job, I'd just registered to drive for Uber. I also had to purchase my own plane ticket to my upcoming orientation/training. I am originally from Canada through ways from the Carribean. I don't know why, but I just feel like we should speak to each other sometime.

We have 24 hour reserve. But it’s not as bad as it seems because on days that you’re on reserve, the night before your reserve day you check your schedule between 7:30pm and midnight. That will tell you if you have an assignment, standby shift or are on ready reserve. If you’re on ready reserve, then you’re available to be called starting at midnight. You can usually get a sense to whether or not you’ll be used based on the trips that need to be assigned and where you fall on the reserve list. I hope that makes sense!

I’m about to start training for spirit airlines and I’m terrified. I’m giving up my apartment and moving to Florida but want to put in a transfer back to Las Vegas do you know if that’s possible? Or will I be stuck in Florida?

Absolutely put in your transfer! If I remember correctly, you have to wait 6 months before you’re able to transfer.

Can you tell more about the below 1. Crash pads with website link 2. On international layover, do you exchange currency, what about mobile data? Get international roaming?

I think as a line holder you can pick up outside of base - reserve can't (I **Think** that is the rule 1. Most of that is internal pin up boards in crew room or word of mouth 2. Most carry a small amount of local currency - the BEST way to get it is an ATM machine - typically best conversion rates etc - NEVER EVER use those currency kiosks in the airport - they make the mafia look like a legit business. I have my "Travel pouch" and it has the 8-10 currencies for countries I travel to the most - 25-50$ of each currency.

Yes, this is all correct! Only lineholders can pick up out of base and it cannot be more than 14 hours before departure time in order to pick the trip up. There are multiple groups on Facebook for crashpads you can also join. Just be careful because some people are scammers. Definitely check the pin up boards in crew rooms. My mobile data plan includes international. I never use my phone for calls though, always just texts.
