@supchick5757Ай бұрын
I’ll have to check, I know it’s not marine grade and I don’t know how it will hold up in hot conditions as it’s designed for inside use but it’s a good experiment. Once I get back to somewhere more populated I should be able to find someone who can fix it properly 🤞🏽

Looks fun. I know nothing about this sport/activity. Do you have to join a club or get a licence to SUP in areas like that or can you just put your board into the water?.
@supchick57572 ай бұрын
I think it depends on the location, rules are constantly changing. It’s best to check your local area first by connecting with a paddle board group or looking at local bylaws with the local council.

Can I ask what the prices were for the first two expedition vehicles ( the AAV and the SLRV respectively)?
@supchick5757 Жыл бұрын
I think the AAV was around the 250K and SLR was about 100K more again but that could have changed since. Pretty cool trucks both of them. I was really surprised at how spacious the AAV felt inside. Have you checked out any others? Always interesting to see what’s on the market.
@alphafiddlesticks5623 Жыл бұрын
@@supchick5757 Thank you so much for responding! Yes, I've seen other overlanding vehicles, even ones from ATW (All Terain Warriors). The AAV and SLRV were the only two to pique my interest. The prices are not too bad also. Does the AAV come with a small washing machine like the SLRV?
@supchick5757 Жыл бұрын
I can’t remember a washing machine being part of the package but I wouldn’t be surprised if you could get it as an add on - but I honestly can’t remember. I don’t believe the model we looked at had one and I can’t remember seeing a spot specifically for one but I think customising these trucks is pretty common. There’s a KZbin channel called ‘Follow the Fuso’ that has an AAV they might be worth contacting as I think they’ve had theirs a year or so now and would have some great insights into what living in the truck is like 😊

Great review, especially after using it for 5 years. Is it durable enough to remain inflated if it runs over a rock and how long does it take to inflate? Maybe I'll rent a paddle board next summer before buying one.. This one looks like a solid choice
@supchick5757 Жыл бұрын
Yes we have a few scratches on them from running into submerged obstacles but they’ve remained strong. They usually take about 10 -15 minutes to pump up manually (depending how hot it is 🥵 and how fast we go!!)

Yes it’s good to buy something that will last as long as possible and is able to be repaired instead of having to buy a new one all the time as they are pretty hard to recycle ♻️ I think very few of them have only a small percentage that can be reused but I have to do more research on that one.
