do you get paid durimg the supervision? i cant do unpaid and numerous sites say that u actually pay supervisors

Some companies will provide supervision without charge, however if you are an independent contractor, you will most likely have to pay for supervision out of pocket

Great video , 3 points I wanted to know a lil more about 1) Paying for supervision what are your current credentials at time of video? registered intern - and if so you working under your supervisors license and notes being cosigned if so ? 2)What country are you located and if US what state? Because I know state to state things are a little different (Cali for example doesnt allow you to LLC) 3)When you mentioned paying taxes as employer and employee - are you set up as an SCorp?

Hi there! I have a M.A in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. I am getting the courses I miss (5 courses) so I can become a registered counselor in BC, this is the easy part. My question is - how could I get hours of practice and supervision hours as all the 5 subjects I can't or will not be accepted as a program student but a non degree student only seeking it for licensure purposes? Do you have any suggestion or hint? Highly appreciate your help.

Wow, this video really resonated with me, especially hearing you briefly talk about your experience in community mental health and being the only Black therapist because I am in the same situation right now. It felt validating to hear you talk about how it made you feel because I often feel like others get and understand what it feels like to be in a space where there is only one or a few of you. Thank you for sharing this and thank you for creating such amazing content.

Yes you can see out employment that offers that option. Many of those options are available in the public health sector or hospital settings

I know this post has been a year ago but I’ll jump in. Thank you thank you thank you. The topics that you included were exactly what I needed to hear. As an Asian male, I worry that I would be judged and I wouldn’t build rapport but you mentioning being your authentic self has reminded me that nothing else matters. I had been holding back and having self doubts because of that and not having the right skills but that is why there is school and supervision. Thank you for this. It is helping me get over my self-doubts.
