Hey, Love the video! I have a 2012 and am having the same issue you described with your corroded wire. Put in a new fuel pump, new spark plug, checked fuses and nothing seems to be working. I've never really dived into wiring stuff but do you have any advice on what/where to look for when trouble shooting this? The bike has always run great then one day just died out mid ride and wouldn't start back up. Thanks for any help!

Hello tehre again :) , i was courious about the reliability of the 411 himalayan , i saw your clips with it , i eknolaged what you said about the maintenance that in your case need to be more often because of your riding style and im courious for a normal rider , taking paved rouds unpaved rouds a little bit of offroading , moto camping on hte mountains top would you think this 411 will be a raliable bike? and also do you think it will face the challange to go on the mountain top with the camping gear on it ? i also heard about lots of issues with engine not starting in cold or frame broken , fort the last one do you think it is poorly build or the riders mounted on it aftermarket crashbars and not torque the bolts corectly? i know i have a lot of silly qwestions but as many good things i have heard about the 411 also i have heard lots of bad things about the building quallity and reliability , i would love to have the bike because its so acceseble to work on it but im concerned because of all the negative things i have heard about this bike and also about the all royal enfield bikes

Not a beginner bike? I started on my WR250R. I think it was too heavy, a CRF230F or DR200 would've been better. Best would be a 125cc trials bike. I have the 4.7 gal tank on mine. Side fairings kept breaking, that fixed that, and it protects the radiator. Only con is sitting at the front for cornering, it's a bit wide.

This was only sold in the UK for about three years so pretty scarce 13k on mine stock motor just removed the cat...I changed the fuel pump just be because it's a known fault threw the shock away a few years back it was awful rebuilt the rear linkage and just had the cam chain tensioner start to fail had to replace the chain too..bit disappointing as I have a crf250l.that has done 33k and only needed a clutch so far ...love riding it but just bought a 300l to do some travelling
@autismion3 ай бұрын
Check that the stator isn't burnt, my 2008 had red/copper looking coils that seemed to have burnt spots. How could you tell if the cam chain is stretched? When I changed my tensioner it was hard to tell if the notches on the cam gears lined up, but it seems to run fine.

You should have had a button cell in it to trigger a relay, that way any 1/4" bit of rod or foil wouldn't suffice.
@cotywagnon3 ай бұрын
How though? I wanna do this
@80VDualSport3 ай бұрын
It's simple completing the circuit. It doesn't kill the bike though.
@leongaskell15333 ай бұрын
If somebody were to roll up a piece of foil would that work or does that twin points of contact make it special?
@EddieTheH3 ай бұрын
Yeah, you could just pack it with foil or any bit of metal that's about a 1/4" round.
@mattb.51033 ай бұрын
Ingenious idea. I really love the baby making music as you repeatedly insert that male plug into the female socket 😂

But can you plug a guitar into it? Control your ignition timing by playing the guitar?
@89smokeshow3 ай бұрын
So now it can be stolen with a peice of tin foil.
@GoldenBoyGarage3 ай бұрын
i suppose youd have to know that it was modded first? old hondas are easy to hotwire anyhow
@audioholic8503 ай бұрын
That's a kill switch basically, correct?
@PewLand3 ай бұрын
It completes the circuit for the ignition so technically its more secure than the original key since you need to jump that jack to keep the bike running. Of coarse someone could still pull the wires out and hot wire but because this is so unconventional noone would suspect thats how you start the bike.
@80VDualSport3 ай бұрын
Not a kill switch hahahahaha funny enough if you pull it out while it's running the bike shuts off but the bike will keep running until you hit the kill switch
