Thank you for this lovely comment. This is so wonderful to know. Well done! We are never to old to follow our dreams. I recently also did an interview with Josua Tuifa of the Royal Academy of Dance and he is talking about groups of 50+ who are doing ballet classes. I love these initiatives!

Thanks Petra! I'm taking 3 classes a week from an ABT certified ballet teacher in Uruguay. Than I practice on my own 3 days a week. Thankfully, I have no physical issues. I have a good physiology for yoga and ballet. Had I known about ballet, I think I may have pursued it professionally. But basically, the possibility didn't exist as a boy growing up in the 50's and 60's. Instead I became a champion tennis player and now I'm a yogi in the Himalayas of India!

Thank you for this video, this artist has such a nice orchestration (I mean the instruments he uses in the songs - I don´t know what the adequate English word is :) ), I subscribed on his channel immediately. It is such an interesting question about which is your home, when you were born in one country and you live in another. I think about it really a lot. As for me, I live in Germany for more than 10 years and I never felt myself so Hungarian than now. 🙂 In Hungary, it was just the home and I did not think about that so much. Actually, I just wanted to leave it at one point. And now I feel a stronger bonding to Hungary, and I know I want to be buried there. I am graceful for the possibilities Germany gave me but I could never feel really "home" here, even when I live now much better than in Hungary, I know nice people, nobody hurts me here. But I still have constant home-sickness. 🥲

It is so great that you have interviewed this lady! I also work in health care and we also offer art therapy (painting/drawing) for our patients. I don´t do it myself, I just organize it and try to "sell" art therapy for people who have health care issues, mostly cancer and a lot of anxiety and depression from it. Many patients also have traumas. I tell them that we have this possibility in the clinic, and most of them never heard of art therapy before. Some say pretty clear, that they don´t want to try it, because art is "not for them", a few are enthusiastic to give it a try, and there are many people in between these two groups. When I see only a little bit of interest in their eyes, I sign them in for an appointment with the art therapist and I also tell that they don´t need any talent here, art therapy is for their soul. Then, they try it and have a lot of fun, and they are also surprised sometimes what you can read out from a drawing (if you want). Sometimes it "just" helps with concentration problems and stress, I also experienced it when I was a patient myself. Art therapy is such a great thing!!

It was one of your deepest interviews... I actually didn´t expect such deep thoughts from a young singer! He sees everything so realistic and clear, it is so easy to understand how he lives his life as an artist and how he feels about singing. There are artists who talk and talk and I cannot understand a single word because they are so far from real life.... 😃 It is not necessary, even when you are an artist. I think you can remain an artist with "high" thoughts and still a normal person with down-to-earth thoughts. It is one of my favourites of your videos though I have never heard about this young man before!

I am always so glad when you make interviews about ballet... I really did not expect that this conversation goes in this direction. I am so happy to hear that someone in the dance world has in mind that not everyone has access to ballet. Interestingly, as you were talking about making ballet closer to people and showing not only classical but also contemporary pieces, I am drawing my next animation exactly about that... :) I don´t know how you see it, but as I visit ballet shows in Germany, I see the audience is getting older and older. No young or middle aged people... None of my friends are interested in ballet. People just don´t know that ballet is not only Swan Lake but so much more. Thank you for this insipiring video again!

It is always so good to see someone so enthusiastic. 🙂 I cross Vienna often when I travel home to Hungary but have never stopped there yet for a longer time, though even crossing through is enough to feel that Vienna has such a special atmosphere and is so colorful. I also have the feeling that it combines the best part of the German cities and the best part of the Hungarian architecture. The size of everything is smaller than in Germany, so it is closer to Hungary (seems more "human-size" or how could I say), but the buildings are mostly in better condition then in Hungary... Still, I always feel, I am always home, and it is not only about the closeness of my country.

I like your videos also because otherwise I would not know too much about Africa and the artists in different countries... The dedication of these two people is so amazing! Many things occured to my mind about this interview. One was, when they mentioned the dance students receive also free drinking water in school (if I understood it correctly). It gives a different dimension to the whole thing. Everyone knows that water can be a problem in many african countries but we tend not to think about how precious water there really is. In Europe, the students biggest problem is, in which store they need to buy their dancer clothes. :)
@PetraSittig3 ай бұрын
Thank you for your lovely comment. Yes it is true that the things we take for granted in Europe that people in Africa see as precious. It's a great observation you made. Thank you for watching. You have a beautiful channel and I love your stories and animation videos.

I understand that she was sad when her mentor told her to change her personality... I guess that mentor had just superficial knowledge about the human psyche. I heard this "advice" a lot, too, but with the years I realized it is totally silly. You just need to develop certain other characteristics around your personality to protect yourself, but you don´t need to lose your vulnerability or anything else, because it means you loose your human traits. How the world should be when everyone who had deeper feelings and emotions would lose their personality?
@andiworks20233 ай бұрын
I realize over and over again that your interviews are not only about showing the artists to the world, but you are also a kind of psychologist to them, because many of them - or maybe all of them - need someone to talk to, about their artworks, about their struggling and so on. Many artists seem to be lonely and not understood by "normal" people. I think your attention to these artists is so precious!
@PetraSittig3 ай бұрын
