Thanks a lot, I’m glad that you liked it! 😉 I don’t live in Russia though so I can’t make the videos you requested immediately, but I definitely noted them for future 😄😌 Although I got to be honest: I don’t quite imagine what is that what people want to see inside a Russian apartment, since the apartments I lived/been in are in no way different from any normal apartment in the west (well besides the fact that we have wallpaper on the walls 😂) and then each apartment is different depending on who lives in it.

As for your question, no, if you read the letter Ы, you know it's pronounced as Ы. It may sound shorter or longer, but the qualities of the sound are the same. But remember that there are a couple of situations where the written letter is different but the sound it gives is Ы. The most important example: letter combinations ШИ and ЖИ cannot be spelled with ы, only и. But in pronunciation, the sound will be the hard Ы.

Я - is the Russian letter for the sound [ya], it’s a vowel. It also means “I” as in “I am, I do etc”

I'm so glad you found it useful! Я в восторге *ОТ* + Genitive (2nd) case. Я в восторге от тебя, я в восторге от этого фильма etc. If I may know a broader context, I could probably give more advice on how to use it in your sentence :))
