“Why can't I use hot water from the tap for drinking, cooking, or making baby formula? Answer: Hot water dissolves lead more quickly than cold water and is therefore more likely to contain greater amounts of lead. Never use water from the hot water tap for drinking, cooking, or making baby formula.” Quick google search and this is from a government website. The pipes are so old, wherever you live and could have lead and other unhealthy things in it. They cannot physically clean all the pipes from the water filtration plant to your house.

This is a 98 degree boiling hot water tap, which takes cold water and then filters it then keeping the water at boiling temp, therefore fitting more bacteria than your kettle would once it starts to cool down. Hence why lime scale builds up in a kettle. Therefore this is actually even safer to drink that water from a kettle if you don’t descale your kettle often.
