I did a little digging and found that Logan had done some GT/endurance racing before F1, and he was pretty good in a GT car. I’m really excited to see how he will do in the European Le Mans series. Maybe he will hop into the WEC or IMSA in 2026.

It’s not that shocking. F1 drivers even if they are mediocre tend to be very good in other series especially in any Le Mans series, WEC or IMSA

I think time will tell if Sargeant can do well in sports car endurance racing. Ik there’s some who will joke that when it comes to Sports Car racing and even IndyCar that the only drivers racing in those series r mostly F1 rejects. But when you’re looking to race in a high class series with very little space for more drivers with teams that r only r as good as their budget with it all possibly be dominated by one team anyway, it goes give drivers a chance to show off their skills where they couldn’t in F1 for many reasons. Ya take these examples: Jack Aitken only ran one F1 race at the Sakhir GP in 2020 filling in for George Russell as he was filling in for Lewis at Mercedes. Now he’s rocking with Whelen Engineering Action Express Racing in IMSA first as an extra driver for the endurance rounds and now full time and has been pretty decent in that seat. Mick Schumacher ran with Haas for 2 years, was a reserve driver for Mercedes and McLaren and now races for Alpine in the WEC and is doing really well with the A424 starting to take form. Kevin Magnussen after his first run with Haas left and ran in IMSA with Chip Ganassi and ran wicked well and even winning some races with em and always being up front every race and was even going to be one of the drivers for for Peugeot’s Hypercar before going back to Haas in F1. Now he’s going to be an extra driver for the endurance races for BMW in both IMSA with RLL and WEC with WRT. Which I’ve always thought sports cars suited Kevin Mag much better than F1. Grosjean and Kvyat r both Lamborghini factory drivers and did pretty decent with Lambo’s first year with the SC63, but it was more so just the car’s reliability and pace that hurt them. And this is just naming a few.

No one will beat Ferrari other than Ferrari. You NEVER have 2 stars driving for you unless you wanna recreate the Senna Prost drama. Who wins driver's champ? Charles or Lewis? Because both will be pushing to be the one to win but only one can. So even if they built a rocket ship, they will take each other out while fighting for podiums. Lewis is only a champion because his team used to have his teammate give up the lead whenever Lewis was the trailing car. They made it clear that Lewis was #1 and Botas #2. Ever since George Russel, that changed. And the result: third place at best. And with opposition being what it is, they can't fumble around and still win. Look at Red Bull: one small misstep and boom they lose the constructor to McLaren, of all people. I do agree that Fred looks like he knows what he's doing. And if they succeed, then good for him. But we've been here before. It's January the season is 2 months away and Ferrari fans are saying what they always say: this year will be our year, guaranteed. Gotta wait and see what every team has done during this break. If history is indicative of anything, it's all speculation until the first testing day of round 1

Just saying that Sargeant in 2024 had older car parts Australia through Spain, even using 2023 parts in Monaco. This took over 60% of his season (I think). Throughout all that time, he caused less damage than Albon, until Zandvoort which he surpassed Albon in damages, which Albon quickly overtook. And even though Colapinto got points, you have to consider he was at tracks with more of a reliance on top-speed, and high-speed, which the Williams car is known to be good at. Colapinto also caused more damages in a less amount of time, surpassing Sargeant in damages and (I think) getting third in the destructors championship. I’m not saying he was the greatest driver, obviously he had a lot of flaws, but he is a lot better than a lot of people give him credit for.

Logan was never given a fair shot in F1. Let’s be honest, Americans never do anymore. F1 just likes our money, not our people, like Andretti😳. When your car doesn’t have the same upgrades as your teammate it puts a stupid amount of pressure on someone who has to beat or at least match his teammate. It’s no wonder he made mistakes. Look at how many times his replacement crashed. I hope he does good with Hyundai. I am biased tho, my son and Logan & his brother were teammates for his first couple years of karting.

He's definitely a driver to look at in terms of development. He's dug the majority of the teams he has been with out the dirt. Out of all the drivers he is definitely one of the most technically sound with the car due to his background in mechanical engineering. Realistically he could turn williams into a midfield contender and give them the push they need for other prospects to come in and shoot williams up. Im sure he'll fair well.

I think his move to ELMS is a good one as there's far less pressure (though there'll always be chirps about him being a former F1 driver) in ELMS where if he flounders, he can always go to IMSA but if he succeeds, it puts him in a good position to be in Hyundai's LMDH plans.
