Really like that color and size, but needs another 100 miles of range and sleep/dog mode feature before I will consider it. Maybe in 2 years we will be there.

Received mine a week ago. It’s an ST-Line with auto gearbox and 155hp. Only other extra is the pack tech (ADAS) so no automatic tailgate, keyless entry, wireless charger or 18 inch rims. I also don’t have those led matrix , but honestly none of these extras is really important, specially the rims which contribute only for looks but doesn’t really add to a better handling and yes they to compromise the comfort. I’m loving the engine and gearbox : the car is powerfull and yet very soft to drive . On the other hand I’m disappointed that the car doesn’t have the gear paddles (I think older models had them ) and the mild hybrid system is faulty and sometimes doesn’t work. But mostly I’m loving the car and I’m not a fan of SUVs (only chose one because the renting of SUVs is much better than other car formats)…

I’ve just got mine (ST Line X) I thought that my stop/start was not working, since it rarely comes on, I had a 21 plate Fiesta with the same engine and gearbox and that would glide up to a junction or traffic lights super quiet with the engine cutting off smoothly almost every time except when it was cold started. I went through the Puma’s menu screen and discovered that you can set the Stop/Start to low, medium or high, then it will work more efficiently. However, it needs to be reset each time you start the engine. Annoying.

@@jimd385well, all of a sudden the mild hybrid seems to be working fine. When it’s not, I also don’t have start/stop function but I don’t receive any warning on the dash. Have to check that option you talk about. Today I had huge fault warnings about multiple electronic safety systems. They came on but also disappeared after I “restarted” the car. Seems like Ford has some bugs on its software or I wave some faulty electric/electronic component. I hope things settle down because I’m starting to enjoy the Puma more and more but these glitches give me a sensation of cheapness…

I hope your issues get sorted, having a new car is a rare privilege to be enjoyed, especially these days now that they cost so much more money than they used to, any problems can really suck the fun out of driving it particularly if a lot of money has been spent on the vehicle. That doesn’t look keyless. I have a new transit custom and there is an indent on the handle for keyless. I can’t see that here.

Good review. I think you can sell more by filming a test drive. Showing how you can use Google assistant while driving. Showing calm view on central screen. Talk about tow capacity.

I think it is a great vehicle. We have ordered a single motor extended range. I think it would help sell more if you drove out and while driving showed how easy it is to use screen while the car is moving. Using functions that can not be done through Google assistant would put to rest many criticisms.
