We use this time to remember our Saviour's birth, but don't be ignorant of the fact that Christ was not born on the 25th of December. Understand history and the origins of Christmas. It is not lies as she says. To say that God would not let us celebrate on the 25th December if that was not his birth date is not Scripturally accurate and denies man's will and accountability. There are many things man does, even Christians, that does not have God's approval. Just look at what is happening in the world and in some churches! Just because she believes that Jesus was born in December, doesn't make it so. But we can take that day and remember our Saviour's birth. Sadly, for much of the world it's just commercial, as she says. We can remember our Saviour's birth and encourage others to do so, but don't pass it off as His actual birth date or as Scripturally instructed. Jesus said that we must remember His death, until He comes. Nowhere will you find them celebrating His birth year after year. I don't believe God objects to us remembering Jesus' birth but we not instructed to do so in Scripture. As I said, we are instructed to remember His death, and with that we can't help but remember His wondrous resurrection! When we remember His death...you can't help but remember His life and that He came (was born) and we remember it with joy and thanksgiving. Every day. Not just once a year. What she is saying is said sincerely, but check Scripture for yourself. After all, God's Word is our final authority.

I don’t think she ever mentioned the 25 December. I think she is referring to the broader December or winter for which there could be clues in the Bible if we consider the passage of Luke 1. Ultimately the intention of the video seems to be to celebrate our Lord instead of believe that Christmas is pagan which is not. : "One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God, while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God.”

Responding to: “Where is the verse that says “Jesus was born on the 25 December?” So I ask: “Where is the Bible Verse that says that Jesus was not born on the 25 December? Psalm 96:3 says, “Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.” And Acts 13:47 says, “For this is what the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”’ And December is one of those times of the year to shine that light. Many people are murdering and inflicting pain on others out there for no reason. We should be spending our time fighting against evil and not on those who choose to spread the love of God at Christmas and remember the Birth of Christ. Is it sinful in God’s eyes to celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ? No. So, we Christians celebrate Jesus’s Birth at Christmas. Anyone who disagrees should not do it. It is their choice. 1 Corinthians 10:31 says, “Whatever you do, do it for the glory of God.” Since celebrating the Birth of Christ is good, and for the glory of God, believers who celebrate the Birth of Christ and have been doing so in December for generations are not sinning against the Lord Jesus Christ nor His Father. The Lord does not object to any good thing or action done for Him and for people on this earth. Every good thing done for the glory of God is pleasing to God.

It's important to clarify a few things. First, celebrating Christ's birth on December 25th isn't inherently wrong. It's a date chosen by consensus within the christian community to commemorate this pivotal event. While the Bible doesn't specify the exact date, it also doesn't forbid setting aside a day for this celebration. The claim that it was simply "kept" as a pagan date is an oversimplification. The historical context is complex, and it's important to understand there wasn't one single, universally observed pagan festival specifically on December 25th that was directly replaced. While there were winter solstice celebrations in various cultures, like Saturnalia which occurred around that general period but not specifically on the 25th, the idea that our Christmas celebration is a direct continuation of one of them has been debunked after much debate. It’s also important to note that the association of December 25th with the birth of the deity Mithra was established after the development of the Christian Christmas celebration, so it couldn't have been the origin. The early church likely chose this time for a variety of reasons, including symbolic associations with light and new beginnings. Every Christian I know understands that December 25th is not definitively proven to be the precise date of Jesus' birth. We're not claiming it is. It's a date set aside to focus on the significance of the Incarnation. Whether the birth occurred in December or another time of year doesn’t diminish the importance of what we celebrate: God becoming human. There's even some biblical evidence that points to a possible winter birth, and biblical and historical scholarship places the year of Jesus' birth somewhere between 6 BC and 2 AD. But even that isn't the main point. The point is remembering and celebrating this central event in Christian faith. So, we're not spreading lies; we're participating in a tradition of remembrance and celebration. The fact that the world uses that date to do fancy shopping or just spending time with their loved ones, forgetting what it is all about, does not change the reality that real Bible believing Christians spend this time of the year thanking and praising our Lord Jesus for what He has done by coming into this world to save us from sin. Those believers don’t focus on the presents or the big meal but focus on Christ, on this day and during the whole year. It’s like just deciding to do something special for our Lord on a set date. I am sure if the set date was a different one , people would have to complain about that one too. What unnerves some people is not the date or the year, but the possibility that maybe, just maybe, these Christians (I’m one of them) might be right and one day all of us will have to face Jesus as our judge. It would be amazing if it happened on a day of December, maybe the 25th. [I previously posted this as a reply to a comment, but by posting it this way, it will be visible to all]

Christianity stole an ancient pagan to celebrate Jesus birth. Completely ignoring that he was actually born in July or thereabouts. Also born where he was he would have been a person of color. Oops

What a honour to be the first one to comment on your very heartfelt and emotional video. I am really touched by your words that i am sure inspire people who are suffering because of the same unfortunate sad moment as yours. I pray for your family and yourself, that you may rejoice in knowing, as you do already, that the Lord is with you in this tragic moment and I applaude your courage and generosity in thinking of helping others with same sadness, while you are grieving. Your song is so true and emotional. It moved me as i feel you are really true to each and every word you sing, and your performance is really heartfelt. God bless you and your family.
