nice, whats your pickups?
@LeadGuitarTheory3 күн бұрын
It's set on the bridge, which is a Seymour Distortion I think it's called? Just a higher output one, like you might find on am EVH. Bridge is PRS standard.

I'm learning guitar, so thanks dude. 🤘
@LeadGuitarTheory3 күн бұрын
@TheElecricalCobra nice! You've gotta get this trick down so it's second nature. It is how I always navigated the notes of the fretboard before they became memorized.
@twohairycheekz77685 күн бұрын
You need to be palm muting so you don't get so any notes ringing

I've played guitar since nineteen ninety eight, and i'm mad at myself that I never wondered that
@LeadGuitarTheory10 күн бұрын
@jordanprysmiki5361 it's very much tied into music theory and reading notation. Most guitarists can get away without that.

but isn't 9 just 2 an octave up? why are there any chords past 7?
@LeadGuitarTheory11 күн бұрын
Correct. 9 is 2, 11 is 4, 13 is 6. The octave up is crucial, otherwise the chords sound different.
Now all you need is a clip on mic and a fedora and you will be KZbin’s new guitar teacher.

So how do you make the guitar sound a saxophone? Honestly the first 30 times listening to "No Quarter" I actually thought there was saxophone playing. I know i couldn't be the only one thinking so

@michelcastel5681 well that is very nice of you, thanks. I hope it is helpful, I think breaking it down into phrases is the best way to learn it.

So... How do I learn to play something in three different ways then? ^^
@LeadGuitarTheory21 күн бұрын
@DstrctedDave keep watching my videos. There are shapes that repeat up and down the neck.
Then proceeds to play a C chord in a position where no beginner, who I'm assuming this lesson on chord building, is geared to would recognize as a C Chord.I would think by the time someone gets to playing a C in that position you'd be preaching to the choir.
@LeadGuitarTheoryАй бұрын
@@hpodell this is not aimed at a complete beginner. It's kinda hard to see the augmenting and diminishing from an open C chord.
@masterofpain120Ай бұрын
Hey man you could always make your own guitar lesson videos if you feel his free KZbin lessons aren’t good enough for you. Either way I’m not a beginner and I thought this was useful information
@hpodellАй бұрын
@@masterofpain120 Have absolutely no time or desire to make videos. Not disagreeing with the information the video gives but I feel after some one gets a handle on the Cowboy chords then flatting thirds, Flatting 5th's etc. is where you go next. Playing a C chord in that position comes way on farther down the road.

@maximusdecimusmeridius4638Ай бұрын
Can you explain why Maj, Min, Dim and Aug chords are the four main chords? 🤔
@LeadGuitarTheoryАй бұрын
@maximusdecimusmeridius4638 these are the 4 possible triads (3 note chords) that can be made when you build a chord in 3rds, which is the basis of all harmony. Start with this as a baseline and then anything else that occurs is thought of as altered versions of these.
@maximusdecimusmeridius4638Ай бұрын
@LeadGuitarTheory oh I see, that's makes sense. Thanks I learned something new today!

@LeadGuitarTheoryАй бұрын
@ansfridaeyowulfsdottir8095 they sound beautiful in context. The beatles song Til There Was You has an augmented chord, and diminished are all over the place
