I usually try to be part of the solution instead of part of the problem. This customer showed himself early on to be uncooperative. At the 7:48 point, and without watching the rest of the video, I would have declined to make the delivery and left.

Basically they needed another delivery driver. She needed to report you and say she doesn’t want you to deliver. I’d be pissed if you delivered to me and left it for thieves.

I would tell the shipper your dropping or you need a update rate confirmation for a returned delivery, make your own contract sheet like all the brokers do.

I don't know if you know this or not, but in your videos we can only hear one side of the conversation. The videos would be a lot more interesting if the other person was clearly audible. Meanwhile, these represent a sorry pattern in the American service industry: the customer ends up interacting with someone who has no authority to help them. "I don't work for the company" is a setup that lets the company shirk responsibility for problems. On top of that, the "All or noting" delivery policy makes it hard to correct inevitable problems. It's as if the company arrangement on purpose so they can oversell and absolve themselves of handling problems.

Driver ,the customer accepted the freight when he first looked at it. That's when you should have never mentioned curbside delivery. Take the wood as far as you can go with it ,drop it , turn around and leave . At that point he isn't going to sign for it anyway .
