For how long it's been macerating? I got mine 3 days ago and it doesn't smell like much. Smells like wet cardboard and burning trashbag. Mixed with Baccarat Rouge 540 dilited to 5%.

if you want to smell like shit put this on, absoloute garbage fragrance, get the original, intense this intense is the dollar store version of red tobacco, these bastards switched the real vanilla with fake vanilla, took out amber, took out white peach, took out white musk, I would sue Mancera if I could, don't know what morons are praising this shit house.

Awesome review. Thanks! How do you compare these (if you've experienced them) with Amouage Silver Oud and Arabian Oud Royal Oud? Obviously Silver Oud is more funky, but is it even close to what Al Shams is?

I see you also have excellent taste! Haha. Personally, I think the original Prada l'Homme was just right in terms of sweetness, but the Intense goes a little bit too sweet for me. I do agree that it is a great scent, however.

I need a feedback. Does the mid / drydown in any way relate to Nuit de Feu by Louis Vuitton? It sounds like there are some similarities

Mmmm okay, I suppose there are some similarities. Nuit de Feu is way heavier on the smoke and incense, also, its ''animalic'' notes are coming from musk, to my nose . Imperial Oud is dirtier to my nose, and is less focused on the smoke/incense.

oh that's very interesting! Thanks for your quick response, first of all. I might give this one a blind chance. No ways so sample it where I live. Nuit de Feu is my signature scent. My taste is quite unique and my collection is rather big but there is something about it that moves me in all the right ways. To my nose the animalic notes are coming from the Oud and Leather combination while musk is kind of giving it an accord. Really balsamic feel that I love. Incense and smoke heavy for sure so I though imperial oud would be similar as I've seen many people saying it's super smoky and almost an "Animalic mhyrr and incense bomb"..that's kind of where my question comes from ^^ so the animalic punch here comes from zibet you say? Thats interesting as this note is kind of a love/hate relationship for me. But I'm still super intreaged to check this thing out and also it's amazing that is has some real oud in there for the pricepoint. Super unsure here haha. Wasn't a big fan of rien intense incense which also features zibet notes and incense... If I ever decide to get this one I'll comment here with an update. Thanks again for your answer, it helped out a lot :)

Try Hard Leather by Laurent Mazzone 👑 and you'll thank me later. By the way a leather accord is usually made from birch tar (Russian leather accord) with saffron and other base notes like animalic notes, labdanum, resins etc. So instead of listing a "leather accord" he just listed the components of it as Matiere Premiere focuses on single ingredients.

Bought a bottle of this due to rave reviews. Opening. Smells like rubber / plastic It continues to smell this way for hours. Awful. I don't know whether it's to do with my sense of smell, or it needs to macerate? Currently, It truly is the worst fragrance I own . ...by a mile. 🤮 I'll put it away and come back to it.

Both Absolu and Elixir are excellent. I prefer the Absolu myself, but love the Elixir is great. Not sure why Boss don’t make the Elixir in 200ml :( Thanks for the review

@@realscentreview No man, I'm Romanian, but I love languages and accents :) as for my favorites that cut through the cold winter air, my number one choice would be Black Prestigium by Mancera, a wonderful iris bomb a la DHI but much rougher. Super underrated, a bit harsh (like all Manceras), but intoxicating. Or something with oud (I love Faqat Lil Rijal by Rasasi and Dahn Oudh Al Shams by Ajmal - awesome cheapies! Recently I've discovered Orom by Bvlgari, a masterful blend of vanilla and oud) or leathery (most of the times I just wear my sig scent, Gucci Guilty Absolute). And let's not forget about the most underrated (especially in recent times) house of all time: Lutens. They have a lot of masterpieces that are made for winter (Chergui, Ambre Sultan, Fumerie Turque etc.). Keep up the good work!
