Yeah, no. I was bitten multiple times by a spider that got in a shirt that was in a storage bin. You could see the bite weals get smaller with subsequent bites, running out of venom. The bites swelled, got very hot, itchy, 2 puncture wounds in each one, joint pain, muscle pain, weakness, eyesight blurry, irritation from clothing touching the bites. I was bitten Saturday night, and it's now Wednesday. Still hurts, still stiff and itchy. The hotness stopped, finally. Spiders do bite if they feel threatened. I had a brown recluse bite 17 yrs ago. 2½ years I dealt with problems from the necrotizing venom. Years longer healing injuries in my leg after the bite. What I experienced was not a bed bug bite, mosquito, or fire ants. If you think it was a spider, probably was.
@blu9987Күн бұрын
Thanks for the quality of the video footage. Now I believe that if I saw it I would be able (I hope) to recognize this species of brown recluse spider and suppress it. Do you have any advice on how to flush them out or better yet on which species of spiders that are harmless to humans are natural predators of the brown recluse spider for biological control at home? In any case, do you know if they only hide in dark places or if they make cobwebs on the walls like other spiders? I would also like to know how to detect their presence by the appearance of the spider web.
@RovePestControlКүн бұрын
Thanks for the kind words! Brown recluse spiders prefer dark, undisturbed areas like closets or basements, and they don't create large, obvious webs like other spiders. To help reduce their presence, keeping spaces clutter-free is key. While harmless spiders like wolf spiders might prey on them, biological control can be tricky. It’s best to use pest control methods to handle brown recluse infestations safely!

Will they Bite you or should I say are they venomous
@RovePestControlКүн бұрын
Barn spiders are not aggressive and generally don't bite unless threatened. While they do have venom, it's not harmful to humans, so their bite is more of a mild irritation than a serious danger.

Does it kill eggs too? How does residual works?
@RovePestControl8 күн бұрын
Temprid can kill bed bug eggs if sprayed directly. Its residual effect works by leaving a chemical barrier that continues killing bed bugs for a period after application, even after it dries. Reapplying may be needed for ongoing protection.

I haven’t seen/heard a mouse…yet We just moved into the home after the previous owners remodeled it. New floors throughout, countertops, etc. I clean behind the stove regularly and I just saw a nest under there and I’m terrified of mice. It can’t be an infestation bc it’s only a few little poops and only behind the stove. 😅 and I just had our pest control guy out yesterday to spray the yard and foundation for bugs. They left me a couple traps for bugs. Looks like I’m gonna be calling them back out once I run a test on this single mouse theory
@RovePestControl22 күн бұрын
Sounds like you're on top of it! Even a few droppings can indicate a mouse, so it’s good you found the nest. Definitely worth calling your pest control guy back to handle it before it becomes a bigger issue. You’ve got this!

Bug bombs can be hit or miss, as they don't always reach hidden pests. Diatomaceous Earth is great for non-toxic treatment, but takes time. Crossfire is effective for bed bugs, but always follow instructions closely. Consider professional help for tough infestations!

hello! thank you so much!! your video just helped me identify a large barn spider that’s been webbing my neighbors front door, I’ve been working on reducing my extreme arachnophobia for the last 6 months or so, so when I saw this giant making a it’s web two days ago in our apartment entryway, I took a few minutes to observe close enough to get a good look at its markings and web technique. I was able to tell right away it was part of the orb weaver family (it was making a really gorgeous angled web, just unfortunate placement), but I’d never seen a non-Golden orb weaver that was so large. I did some googling and was pretty sure it was a barn spider due to the bands on the legs but you just confirmed it for me :) I feel really bad because I needed to ask maintenance to clean up the entryway, there’s like 8-10 daddy long legs and this barn spider and the webs are becoming an issue for entry, I don’t want them to be killed but I’m just not at the level in my arachnophobia to comfortably handle the barn spider with how large it is.
@RovePestControlАй бұрын

Great video! They just look mean even more scary looking than the Big hairy tarantula looking spiders. I literally despise the brown recluse.They will also bite the piss out of you too & can be very painful lasting for days or longer, it feels like someone sticking a hot poker to your skin.. if you get bit go straighth to the doctor & they prolly give you a antibiotic shot cause you will prolly most likely regret it in the long run if you don’t and discover the infection has progressed & only gotten worsening, swelling skin darkening & most of all more painful then ever because it has done eaten & rotted a Big hole in your skin spreading more infection. A lot of doctors confuse the painful spider bites with staph infection because they both can look a lot a like and have similar symptoms & both can kill your If the infection is left untreated.. it is definitely one toxic evil looking spider
