We’ve been living aboard for almost two years now and have really enjoyed the Catalina, touring the Florida Keys, the Bahamas and the east coast of Florida and the Carolinas. Love how Catalina thinks of the little things, like sealing the edges of woodwork. Probably one of the best functional 40' boats out there for coastal/blue water sailing - certainly better quality than a Bene or Jeanneau. Kudos.

Its called bookmatched, not match booked. A book, is referring to the stack of veneer sheets that was cut in sequence.

the nav station/chart table is a joke.

Catalans always present well and they all then expose just how poorly they are made since I never met a Cataleana that didn't leak and start to fall apart. The giveaway was how that dumbwaiter struggles or how the trash bin jams on the demo or the ice maker whose door swings so that it cannot be reached from the salon but one has to get all the way into the galley before they can open the door. Lots of features all of which will I'm sure will be so much fun to maintain as the years pass.
