Whats the darker tall plant behind the hazel?

I forgot how it's called. It's an ornamental bush, it makes tiny pinkish flowers. It was here when we moved, hence why I tend to not remember the name.

They're looking great! Would you say the ones in the bath tub are doing the best? And if so why? :)
@Crina-LudmilaCristeaAuthor
@Crina-LudmilaCristeaAuthor 2 ай бұрын
@TheTreeWhisperer16 Thank you! The ones in the bathtub were planted first and had the most sun exposure. The largest air prune box was made last. I would say both are doing very well. There's other 2 smaller boxes as well. There's one which was more in the shade, by the shed (also planted last of the smaller boxes). I would say that is behind because of those reasons. But the bathtub box, the small box next to the bathtub, and the largest air prune box are in the best shape, all things considered. You can see them in my previous videos, I think I filmed them all in a recent video, which is about 9 or 10 minutes long. Have a lovely evening!

The hazels are looking great! Would like to give this a go, but not many nuts on the trees around here this year. Are there holes in the bottom of the bath tub and the clear boxes?
@Crina-LudmilaCristeaAuthor
@Crina-LudmilaCristeaAuthor 3 ай бұрын
Yes, there are. The plan is to make more air prune boxes, hopefully this autumn, or next spring, probably next spring. I hope you find what you need. Take care! PS: I bought the cobnut seeds last year from Roughway farm. We moved about 2 years ago to where we are now in SW Scotland and still exploring the area. I saw several hazel trees last year but didn't have time to gather seeds. I saw some seeds this year, but not that many to feel confident I will be able to gather many, certainly not as many as I wish to grow trees from. I'll probably buy seeds again this year. They are delicious! Last year I bought about 15 kgs - ate a bunch, planted a bunch.

@Crina-LudmilaCristeaAuthor
@Crina-LudmilaCristeaAuthor 5 ай бұрын
You can buy a mushroom guide and watch lots of videos. However, actually exploring fields and forests and learning which mushrooms are edible is the best way. Be very careful, some mushrooms are deadly. If you're not 100% sure of what something is, do not eat it.

@@Sophie-Sojo That's awesome! There's a guy in the Netherlands (I think) who grows them in greenhouses. He grows over 100 varieties, if I'm not mistaken. Some of the plants are 6 metres in height, they look amazing. He sells packets of seeds. I'd love to get some of those. Goals, when we'll have a greenhouse or polytunnel. I wish you all the best with growing!
