After that I learned about Gfriend and actually became an even bigger fan, more than Gfriend (their overall chemistry between the members, synchronization in phonography and talents and, last but not least, their composers). This is actually a cover song/tribute of Namie amuro’s new look! It seems like they might follow the same formula of a chill/fun song before utterly destroying us with the title track lmao. Because the title track of this album is called ‘Visual’ and I am not ready for that

That makes a TON of sense. I fell off the J-pop boat a while ago so I missed the original but it makes total sense! I went back and listened to the original by Namie Amuro and MISAMO did a great job covering the original for sure.

Fun fact: this song was performed by naevis in Aespa's concert prior the her debut ... Calling naevis an "AI idol" can be misleading cuz saying AI implies that either she was made 100% by AI or that she is an Artificial Intelligence.... while AI was used, naevis is more of a virtual idol, real ppl are behind her design, making music, and the dance was made through motion caption and the use of "deep fake" plus her voice is a vocaloid made out of a mixture the Aespa members (same for her face) through the use of AI.... Naevis is an AI in the SMCU / Aespa's lore while she is a virtual idol made with the help of AI in real life

With all my knowledge on 3D modeling , animating , etc.. and after talking about it with my Animator friends i've came with the conclusion that this is a real person dancing and moving during most of the video. But when it changes to the different forms of "naevis" it is definetly animated by a real person , the moves are choppy or sometimes too cartoony. I have to say they have got a great idea of merging real with ai and 3D together. The background from what it seems is fully 3D , the characters too exept for the one we see dancing a lot That one is a real person with some deepfake used on the face (or ai on the face). During the Cartoonish models , the animation is not that good , meaning its made by a person and it would be rude using the term ai for THOSE parts , but for the face definetly suited for it (same for the voice). Also i have to add the motion capture kim is for the model of naevis that is shown during the M/V's : Dreams come true , Next Level , Welcome To My World and obviously Done. That specific model uses mocap during some scenes for example when she's walking.

Thanks for helping divulge some of the facts! I was gonna say if those choregraphed moves were animation that was peak animation. That said, the fact that they CGed the face to be naevis in a "real form" and it looks smooth is what's super impressive to me.

@@DanLKpop Yesss i agree! also what i said was more so a theory that i actually found it is TRUE , i didn't see the credits before but it has something credited (on top of the mocap credit ) as "Hyper Real Face Swap" so that pretty much confirmed my theory :)
