I used to LOVE to be able to feed my chickens the remnants of really classy catering. Watched them eat an entire aluminum tray of cheese and lump crabmeat. Croissants for days. If they didn't have to clean up, they were NOT going to ask any questions! Those chickens ate much better than I did sometimes....but I got the eggs! Waste not, want not.

I would say half the food produced or shipped here to our country goes bad and goes to the dump yet we have people starving here and where the produce came from in other countries I know...

The food in your trailer could use some to make bread crumbs, some to freeze.,for the potatoes eat what you can & plant the rest.

Господи,сколько хлеба выбросили,вместо того,чтобы отвезти на фермы животным и отдать,бог за это накажет голодом,люди сеяли этот хлеб,собирали урожай,для того чтобы он пошел в утилизацию

Consider planting a leaf cutter ant-farm somewhere in that forest where you could use more mycorrhizae. I'm figuring to do it in barren desert with whole dragonfruits put directly into the ground with them. Miners lettuce might also be a small seeded option as the leaf cutter had a phenylacetic acid(which has a strong honey-like odor) secretion and the Miwok people were said to use something from ants as a "salad dressing" to supplement their nutrition, I believe.

Thanks for the suggestion I have looked into it and wonder if A. Texana would survive here in southern NC but I've seen maps that show the predicted migration of them eastern and northern in direction I have a small greenhouse I'm thinking of establishing a colony in there and dedicating it to them solely... Do you have any advice on locating more info??
@williampatrickfurey Жыл бұрын
@@gulleytractffffoodforestfa9580 can't recall any at the moment but my thinking was based on previous research years ago about ground temperature to say the least. Ants live where you are right? Like you see them in the summer sometimes. The ants sprout seeds underground anywhere from 8in-8ft I believe and many things seem to send out shoots even in absolute darkness
@gulleytractffffoodforestfa9580 Жыл бұрын
Turns out it would be illegal here to have them they're considered a plant pest non native so not allowed even though atta texana is spreading from Texas this way and could survive here
@williampatrickfurey Жыл бұрын
@@gulleytractffffoodforestfa9580 haven't looked into it myself but I think that's a good reason to start it in an area that would be intelligent to move to. Also I think with the their antibacterial phenylacetic acid secretion, they the food stuffs they are close to and that grow from their fungal chambers' mycorrhizae might prevent actual pests in livestock. I'm aware that it doesn't let other parasitic fungus grow.
