Lol, I recall my plumber is an alpha, and he was the typical alpha all through-and-through, and yet all along I wasn't challenging him, until I was. You see, I had to get some pretty solid bearings on him first, until I started to use my power. He had his partner with him last time he was here, and at one point he shouted so both of us could hear, something along the lines of "Why can't I ever do anything right?" I turned to his partner as he had went outside, and said, "Surely he isn't serious?". Basically, he was having a fit because of something or other, and he had learned I wasn't a customer to be trifled with. I think with most sigma's, it's always that way, as the alpha has some major hole somewhere you can poke if you want, and he's going to react badly, partly because about the time he thinks he has a hold on you, is about the time you start asserting dominance to a degree, and he then realizes he never had you. I think this video points this out quite well, as the sigma habit of sort of not reacting initially, encourages others to make bigger jackasses out of themselves, when that's not our intent at all. We just know we're better off with a good notion of what we're dealing with first, so we start off rather passive. I'm not sure about other sigma's, but the passive start is very routine to me, mostly I think because I was originally much more beta than sigma, and it's just an old habit. Looking back on it now, it's a good habit, since I'm not crazy about jumping off a cliff when my common sense tells me otherwise.
