i love love love the birch logs so easy to make and look so realistic!! want to do this one ASAP....yours is the best yet!! you really outdid yourself on these crafts. The little pic frames just adorable w/ 3d trees and that neutral bow you are right is perfect ! I also loved that wreath on a candlestick holder. Folks with very little income could make all these and have gorgeous holiday decor!! the lil tray w/ the simple plaid tree and deer just amazing...thanks for these gorgeous and delightful DIYs for the holidays Chantel!!! have a great day!!

If I wanted to put these outside on the porch? Any suggestions on how to weigh them down?
@LovinLifesJourney9 күн бұрын
@@kelliemccully4947 I got a couple of mesh bags of heavy rocks from Dollar Tree and used zip ties to attach them to the corners inside the presents. If it gets cold where you live be sure to use something other than hot glue to make them. Hot glue gets brittle in the cold and will come apart. I didn't really make them for outdoors when I made this video. 🙂
@pathologicallyvirgo_10 күн бұрын
Do you think these would hold up outside?
@LovinLifesJourney6 күн бұрын
Probably not the way I made them. You would need to use a strong weatherproof glue and not hot glue since hot glue gets soft in the sun and brittle in the cold.

this is very clever. I am a big boy (bout 350). I am a gamer and do a lot of otherstuff on my home desktop/workstation. During Covid I bought a plexi glass type mat because the roll up pvc ones just suck... they are too thin, and hard to roll on and also crack and break. I really like the acrylic type but they only last about 15-16 months and then they crack. I was considering one of the 1/4" thick tempered glass ones but people have reported they tend to shatter/explode and for whatever reason they do not have the safety film like car windshields so when they do go, they make a huge mess in carpet. So my newest idea was to get some contact cement and try to cement this 1/5" acrylic mat I have to a piece of sanded plywood to give it a rigid backing but honestly a pack of stick on tiles will be cheaper than buying the adhesive and a roller needed to apply it. Then I can just run my trim router over it to give it a nice bevel. Another addition might be some little carpet spikes like I have on my tower speakers.
@LovinLifesJourney5 күн бұрын
Something to keep in mind if you are going to make one - we have found is that if you can find stick on tiles that are more rigid it is better. The soft flexible stick on vinyl don't last quite as well.
@ericklassen74212 күн бұрын
If you go to Home Depot for a dowel, get them to custom cut a piece of plywood for a couple of bucks instead of gluing all those little blocks. Great job!!
