It has been a while, how are you doing my friend?, such a peaceful place, is it lake Erie?, I really would enjoy to be in a place like that right now sure I need some vacation, I have a little of burn out from my job, last week I tought you were about to upload the fireworks video of July 4th certainly was like a tradition in your channel, but the greak lakes treasure hunting series are the legacy of your content at least since you started focusing your channel for travel videos.

@@solidman107 hey Gerardo great to hear from you! I’ve been well I recently got back from the mountains of Idaho. I filmed another travel series out there it was just beautiful. I will probably have 35 new videos from that trip there was a lot of hiking trails to see. I’m sorry that you are burned out from work, you definitely need to take some time off to rest. I didn’t get to buy any fireworks this year unfortunately I spent too much money on trips already 😂! Yes Lake Erie is a really peaceful place for me, my family likes to visit the beach quite often. Thank you for featuring my hometown. I've been here for almost 60 years. Cascade Park has been renovated in recent years which really improved the experience. I grew up in the '60s and '70s playing here, climbing the rocks, (with no fences or discernible trails), the Bears were here too. I felt horrible for the Bears back then. There used to be a Ford where you could drive your car over the flowing water from Cascade Park to Ely Park across the Black River. Cascade Park was carved out by glaciers during the end of the Ice Age.

Old rockhound here, Ruby Beach used to have a lot of carnelian agate to be found, but it's been picked over pretty hard. The reddish colored sand is garnet. For people visiting there for the first time, be wary of the water, sneaker waves are common and will knock you flat and drag you out quicker than you would believe possible. Look at where those driftwood logs are and think about how they got there...be careful on Pacific beaches, folks.

Hi. Nice video. I really want to go to Arches and particularly Delicate Arch. Watching your video I see that the approach to it would be terrifying to me. Do you get scared on narrow trails with steep dropoffs and no guard rails? If you do, how do you deal with it? Thanks!
@lkarloffАй бұрын
I’m glad you wrote this because I have an extreme fear of heights. I get scared when I go down staircases sometimes. You will be able to do this hike I promise you. It’s not as bad as it looks on video. The rock is actually very easy to walk on just make sure you have hiking boots with good traction. I would say the pathway is roughly 5-6 feet wide. I didn’t make it underneath Delicate Arch itself because it was a major drop off by the arch where people take photos and I didn’t feel safe. Trust me, you can do this I never thought I could!
@JenetLevyNYC_AZАй бұрын
@@lkarloff Wow, that was a really prompt answer. You don’t seem scared at all in your videos. I am a retiree now and have lots of leisure time and we want to get to a lot more of the national parks, but driving on roads with steep dropoffs and hiking on trails on the edges of steep places are terrifying. So, if you are scared, how do you not let it hold you back?
@lkarloffАй бұрын
@@JenetLevyNYC_AZ I know on camera I don’t seem that scared, but my hands were sweating the entire time. I just try to think of the end goal and feeling of accomplishment when you overcome these trails. The views in the end are worth it, especially on this trail. When you approach Delicate Arch you should try to hug the wall as best as you can. I believe that you can do it, just take your time and keep your eyes focused on the wall and not the cliff.
