Cool video! Regarding your flat, what tire are you running? How long did it take you to fix it? Getting a flat out on the trail is my biggest fear when it comes to doing the TAT. I fixed a flat on my KLR last week, but that was in my garage.
@SquareLyfe
@SquareLyfe Жыл бұрын
I was running the Dunlop D606. It took about 2 hours to fix. You should definitely be ready to fix a tire when doing the TAT, the chances are you will have to. Doing a tire in the garage is definitely good practice.

Super cool seeing you guys pass through the same areas I went through last year! I recognize several vistas and it’s already nostalgic. The dynamic of having the two of you vs being by myself is definitely a totally different experience. I have no regrets, but doing that type of trip again with a companion is definitely high on my to-do list! Lol Dude, I straight up plowed through the miles. Probably close to double the miles per day that I would have done if I wasn’t alone, but I didn’t feel motivated to stop places or take my time. I felt an urge to just keep moving. I like the vibe here a lot better 😅 P.S. comments are disabled on the first video, or I would have commented there as well. Stoked you filmed this adventure!

shouldn't the puck you ground go between the slider mount and the body? that's why it's tilted. It changed the angle, as the slider is meant to mount to original equipment body mount position.?? the fork part mount of the slider should go level straight across to the body mount. put the puck on top of the slide mount..

I took my son up Pleasant Cyn in my 2006 Ford Explorer 2wd. This must have been around 2007-2008 when he was 13. We spent a couple of days driving around Panamint Valley. I remember that we walked right up to the Two mine adits that I saw in your video. They were very close to each other. My son wanted to go into the Mines so much. I had to explain to him that it was just too dangerous and just not worth it. You can see how the path ln one of them is almost under cut by a winz or a stope.

Please don't mingle with the Burros. Don"t feed them treats which are processed products. These cool animals living in the wild don't need us to caress them and feed them treats because they will learn US, humans will give then treats. They will also walk into Beatty and expect other humans to give then treats. When they don't or when they have to compete for a treat it will become an bad thing for them and in the end they will need to be removed! Ask any of the Locals in Beatty!
@channarosenblatt8197
@channarosenblatt8197 Жыл бұрын
How do you know that they don't 'need' caresses and contact with humans? There is no way that anyone of us knows what their emotional makeup is. And what do you have against giving them treats? Not many people give them treats. One visit won't change the burros' behaviors or personalities, nor will it harm their chance of survival.

my front rubs on the springs when I'm turning full lock...but there isn't really a way to get around that. The rear will rub a little bit if I am very flexed out. I can't say if 4.10 gears will be good for your application, but I think you want to at least go to 4.88 or 5.13 if you want to keep stock performance there are charts online you can reference and compare to.

if it makes you feel better I have yet to find a swing out bumper that lasts very long with a tire on it much less a whole rack and all that. Also if you buy the TJ switch for the transfer case you can get your 4wd light working again. goes in place of the spaghetti monster

I’ve seen designs that have another attachment to the tailgate so I think I’m going to do that or just delete the whole thing. It’s a big ask to carry all that stuff on it. I thought about fixing the light but it doesn’t bother me enough lol I want a lower geared transfer case anyway.

@@SquareLyfe those drop-down ones are the way to go that attached to the side of the tub and not the tailgate. Once mine started getting wobbly I built a mount to the tailgate to stabilize it, and it just started cracking my tailgate and ruining the latch after a while
