Great vid... you two are fun to watch.... Do your wife and yourself a huge favor and buy a diesel heater...i just bought a cheap one a month ago... used it 3 times now in minus 20c and i can tell you its a game changer... i will never use propane again... Dry heat and way more efficient than propane...way safer/warmer for ice camping.... Good luck to you guys in the 24/25 ice season... stay safe out there... From my very cold, covered in snow, slightly lob-sided, overtaxed igloo on the mountain in grande cache alberta D.

A really nice, clear video, without distracting music, thank you! I just have a question. I notice having first fixed the end closest to back of the sled, the next fixing you made was on the curve. As you made this I noticed the strip then had a bow in it and didn't follow the line of the sled exactly, and I wondered if this could create a problem?. ..I would have thought it might be better to work your way along the strip hole by hole from the back to the front. As am not an expert diy'er would really appreciate your thoughts before I attach my runners next week. Many thanks again for a helpful video. Paul
@bgradventures14 күн бұрын
Thanks! Yes i did the back and then the front one to get it straight. You could achieve this by doing them in order also. No issues with mine so far. And they definitely help pulling the sled. Cheers and good luck!

excellent vid. is your f150 the short 5.5ft bed? i want to make sure the eskape 2600 fits mine before i pull the trigger on the 2600. also do the seats fit under your tonneau cover without taking them off?
@bgradventures9 ай бұрын
Mine is the 6.5ft bed. It fits in with about a foot of room left. The seats do fit under the tonneau cover with them left on, when the fabric is warm. I’ve found after a day of fishing, it’s tougher to get the fabric to lay tight as there is ice and snow on it. So it’s not as compressed. But I’m sure doable. I just run a strap over the sled in my truck bed and good to go.
@bgradventures9 ай бұрын
It’s a great tent. I have a hub and I barely use it anymore. Love it. Get the 2800 sled cover for it though. Not as hard to put it on after using the tent.
@pdsfpv14959 ай бұрын
@@bgradventures the specs say the sled length is 64 inches and my truck bed is 67 inches (5.5ft) so that leaves me with 3 inches of wiggle room. does the tent fabric get tucked in back into the sled to keep it all less than 67 inches?
@bgradventures9 ай бұрын
@@pdsfpv1495 Yes if you fold it nicely you can get it all tucked into the sled for the most part. When I’m out for the day I don’t fold it nicely until I am finished.

Shipping was about a week and a half. I would hold off for now. It has some issues and I’m working with Eyoyo trying to figure it out. They are great to deal with. The original Eyoyo 7” is much clearer. This new camera focus is not set right. Will post videos soon.

Shappel seems to sell the wear bars in 3-packs regardless of the number of wear bars on sleds. It works out okay ish if your sled has an odd number of ribs, because you can do the two outside ones, and the one in the center. If your sled has an even number of ribs (my Shappel sled has 4), you need to buy two packs. Which is super annoying. 🤬
@bgradventures10 ай бұрын
Yes it seems that way. I just did an Eskimo eskape 2600 flip over with these and had to buy 2 packs with 1 left over.
