What’s that big red trailer in the front that you dump rocks or dirt into is that a tester tells you if it’s good or not?🤔
@Getsoil5 күн бұрын
Thanks for the questions. That’s our bagging machine. We take any product in the yard and put it into the red hopper and it funnels the material into smaller bags for people that don’t need bulk product.

How does it compare to the CAT? We have only used CAT here
@justinkenswil14239 күн бұрын
I work in a landscape supply yard as well. The only thing you should do that he’s not doing that makes this less hard in the machine is pulling the product down. Pulling down helps loosen the product thus making it easier for the machine to scoop.

Nice to see someone else in the industry! Is that cat setup with the drive select there on the joystick? I know the old 924 I used to run had the F/R setup on that thumb toggle on the joystick made it a lot easier than smacking the lever there at the wheel. Otherwise great stuff.
@Getsoil11 күн бұрын
Yeah this one has the F/R on the joystick and on other machines i use it, but for the 930H the column shifter just has a better feel to it, you can really have a good flow with it if you know how to time it right, and sometimes the joystick shifter would cramp my hand haha
@KretnGaming10 күн бұрын
Yeah I can agree with it. We had ours setup with a 6 yard high lift tilt bucket on it off that toggle next to the stick and that would really make you work your hand out when you where trying to do multiple things at once.

You drive that loader like a pilot flies a plane so entune with it. I've always wanted a loader job but I cant find any hiring and I have no hands on experience. How exactly do you get into this kind of work? Thanks/
@Getsoil10 күн бұрын
Hey thanks for the awesome comment!! I would suggest getting or using any piece of equipment you can weather it’s a lawn mower tractor even a push mower . The more equipment you can drive the more confidence you will have moving up. Also using any piece of equipment is good a lot of things you learn you can apply to the bigger stuff.

at the landscape supply place I used to run equipment at, all of our concrete blocks interlocked and had a rebar ring on the top. This meant we used a boom attachment with a chain and hook on the end (also used to move palm trees) to move blocks. That 924 is definitely beefier than our cat 906's though. we had to keep the load as close to the loader as possible on the smaller machines
@GetsoilАй бұрын
Always liked the interlocking blocks so much more. We use what we have haha the 924 is very agile especially with a short boom like this one. Thanks for the comment!

Had yet another atrocious experience with Lands End Landscape Supplies. I believe in supporting local businesses and returning to those who value customer satisfaction and loyalty. Now I have had a series of poor experiences with this company and feel compelled to share said experiences, so others can make a more informed decision. Would not recommend this business to anyone for any reason and will never return. Admittedly the prices have been climbing year over year, but I remained a returning customer. The year before last, I went to Lands End and ordered my mulch in the colour I get every year. The salesperson said they were running low on that colour, so she would set aside my mulch to ensure it was not sold to someone else. Received a call a day before the delivery and was told they sold out of my colour, but I explained that couldn’t be because they had set mine aside. Went down there and spoke to the older woman who I was told was the manager about the issue and she said they would send a better mulch close to the colour I was looking for. The truck arrived the next day and the mulch was not even close to the colour I ordered, it was more of a red. So disappointed but recognized that as the mulch was sitting on my driveway, a return was not feasible at this point. I did not return to Lands End the following year and bought my mulch elsewhere because of the disappointing experience the year before. Which brings me to today. I mistakenly thought, I should have gone back and given them a chance to correct the mistake, so I went back and explained the issue. The first person was a new employee and was not comfortable assisting with the issue and handed me off to an extremely immature boy behind the computer and I explained the issue again. He was so ignorant and rude and told me prices go up and mistakes happen, and I should take my business elsewhere if I had a problem with that. Shocked at the level of ignorance and appalled at the customer experience. The female manager I had dealt with the year before approached and started to speak with me about the issue but the complexion challenged person behind the computer was scoffing and heckling the entire time at which point I commented to the manager -- was she comfortable with this employees attitude? Admittedly I did say, why was he being such a dick. But she seemed okay with the conduct and never corrected the mistake or the attitude of her employee. It is unfortunate that businesses like this one with inexperienced staff miss the bigger picture of the value of loyal repeat business and word of mouth. In an era where there is so much choice, convenience, and competitive pricing, sadly businesses like this one will cease to thrive.
