I do live with my mom. I pay rent and pay for all of my own bills and the food I eat (though there are definitely things we share).

I think that question really goes back to learning what your definite monthly expenses are and comparing that to your income. If someone doesn't have a clear understanding of that, I don't think the rest of the BBP method is going to work. I will say, I do think it makes sense to look at non-necessary expenses (IE: Hulu, Disney+, Spotify, Amazon Prime, etc.) to see if anything can be cut if income and expenses are similar and there isn't extra cash to save.

How does one develop your type of printing???

Do you mean my handwriting? Honestly, I haven't actively done anything to try and change/improve it. I just write slowly when I'm trying to be neat. If you mean the printing of envelopes, I just open the downloadable PDF, turn on my print, load 8.5x11 inch paper, and press print! I cut out around the envelope outline and use double sided tape to stick it together.

If I have unused cash in my 2024 sinking fund for a specific category, I roll it over to the 2025 sinking fund at the end of the year. IE: I had $58 in my 2024 Subscriptions sinking fund on 12/31/2024, so I rolled that cash over into my 2025 Subscriptions sinking fund.

Jennifer, I love your budgeting and cash stuffing videos. I also follow The Budget Mom and use the bbp but I don’t recall seeing the cash envelopes you use on her website. I used to use her cash envelopes and then I became obsessed with the laminated ones and all the other products. I want to return to a simpler time 😂. Where did you find the envelopes you use? Are they still available? I do have the tbm emergency fund envelope. Thanks!

I’d recommend Jane Eyre. It’s my favorite. If you’re looking for another Jane Austen book, I’d recommend Emma. I love reading classics!

Instead of taping along the spine to add pages, consider doing flip outs, where you tape the extra pages on the outside edge to connect them and the fold over like doors. That should add you four more pages if you do it like that.

I don't think I've ever given a contemporary romance 5 stars. I love them but I only rate 5 stars for like a MUST read book. I really didn't like Butcher and Blackbeard or whatever it was called... so I likely will NOT read Leather and Lark.

I'm a sucker for a really really good romance! If they're done right, they can definitely be a 5 star for me, but it doesn't happen super often. Butcher & Blackbird is definitely a love it or hate it kind of book. I'm not really intrigued by dark romance, but it's fun to dip my toe in with that series.

@@simply_artzy A concept can definitely sway a rating. I don't think I really feel like my 5 star reads are books that would/need to be universally read/liked. If it gives me the 5 star feeling, I go with it. This year I think I had 5 star reads in romance, fantasy, horror, literary fiction, and middle-grade so I'm all over the place 🤣

Glad you found a way to customize this a bit for your needs. I totally agree w u about the divider tabs but as she’s offering 3 different interchangeable covers, they’d only match if you keep the original one on your planner. That said - I think it’s actually just design oversight bc IMO they should match the default cover design.
