Outstanding video! I did this training back in 2012, but deployed in 2008 without this training. It is very beneficial to go through this training. Loved the lessons learned from your NCOs. Only thing that would have made it better is to get to see you actually go through the rollover, yelling and doing the drill! Looks like you are a Cadet. I hope you are commissioned Army Officer now! I'm retired now, but still work for the Army! Good Luck!

Hi Davionwest, my name is Kyndal. Hey Davion I saw that you are in the military. I am a big fan and big supporter and prayer warrior of the military. Hey Davion hope you won't mind if I tell you something. Just want to tell you "Thank you for your service" I appreciate all that you do for our country. You have my total support and you will be in my prayers. I love to support and pray for the military men and women in uniform. I feel like that is what God has called me to do, and it's something that I love to do and it's something that is very close to my heart. Support and prayers, Kyndal.

How does writing letters help you graduate basic training? I have no one to write so I guess I’m gonna fail? I don’t get it.

So what about the older folk that go through as in the ones that are 23-34 are they aloud to run in their age groups for the 2 miles run?
@LT4_Gio285 жыл бұрын
Jowy Jozef someone said they ran there 2 mile in there 17 min 2 mile which is definitely like 26-34 age bracket because of their age but I keep hearing people say no it’s 17-21 bracket

Monday morning the first day of Airborne School training we ran 3 miles after morning PT for all of us that had a record PT Test after Infantry AIT when we arrived . The guys who had to do a PT Test did them that Monday morning. It was a run day after PT everyday about a 7:30 mile pace. I was in the 1st platoon and we ran faster. Everyday the Blackhats keep weeding out people who couldn't make the runs especially the guys. There were more guys and gals quitting the first day after morning PT and breakfast. All lined up at the First Sergeant's office. Two of them Ranger Contracts from our group from Harmony Church. Friday was the 5 miler which got more guys and gals out. The 2nd week we had a couple here and there with even the 5 miler on Friday. Saturday morning we had a couple dozen more guys and gals lined up to quit because Monday morning was Jump Week. When I went through back in 1986. Nothing has changed on the schedule since the end of WWII when they cut out the 4th week for Parachute packing. I was given the Airborne School pamphlet by my recruiter when I shipped out for Basic. The Pamphlet date was April 1975. Everything inside it was the 2 weeks training schedule and it was accurate to the Tee. PT Standards, uniform standards, exercises, times and formations. The only difference from 1975 was we ran in running shoes instead of combat boots in 1986.

hey I'm going to airborne school in a couple of weeks is it true if you fall out of 2 runs you get kicked out. how are the runs?
@davionwest29016 жыл бұрын
Hey, yes it is true. I had a friend who fell out of two and they sent him packing right after the run. The runs are at a 9min pace per mile so its not hard to keep up. The thing that really gets people is having to call cadence while running 4 and 5 miles. I hope I answered your questions.:)

You did thanks

jalani brooks ,if you fall out of a run you have to turn away from the other running jumpers also the trainer almost pulled me out of formation because I did not cover down behind the man in front of while running he was the same height , it was hard to see around him I was off a little so I could see around him
