Pickup tube might be getting loose I'm about to check mine out next week mine stuck like it's not shifting all way in any gear I'm hoping that's what it is did a complete trans floss 15k miles before so hopefully just my Pickup tube my truck a 04 1500 hemi 4x4 with 280k miles Trans has around 135k

Look up Ralph's transmission in Sarasota Florida ask for Steve he is the owner and the Hands-On mechanic tech he will know what the problem is they are the best transmission shop around

Its the ECM... after i change all solenoids and sensors throughout my ram 5.7 it still run like crap, because the ECM is dirty and slow to react to the signals all the good new replaced solenoids and sensors are sending to it

I have a 2017 dodge hemi 5.7 litre and it's starting to do that. Skips from 1st to 3rd sometimes, but usually happens around 90-100 kilometer mark. I alleviate the problem sometimes by pressing my gas pedal a little slower. It does not jerk as much. What do you think would help? (I already took it to the shop and they cleaned it, but still does same thing).

Any luck finding out wh the problem was? I’ve been having the same issue with my 2012 ram hemi 1500 for a couple weeks m and it’s driving me nuts that I can’t figure it out What’s the problem is. Thanks

@@rigochavez7102 hey not quite yet, I scanned it with my buddies scanner and it’s giving me a transmission rationality sensor code and a P0307 cylinder 7 misfire code. So far I changed all the plugs and coil pack for cylinder 7 and that didn’t help any. It does seem to be getting worse though, so I may have to take it to a shop but first I think I will try the transmission sensor because my buddy was telling me it’s pretty easy to change that you just have to drop the pan. So that is my next shot. Then if that doesn’t solve it I’m probably going to have to take it in to a shop to be looked at. Also a lot of stuff I’ve read and watched so far is pointing me towards the oh so common cam or lifter issues which I’m praying it is not in this case as I can’t afford to replace the engine or the time to rebuild the engine at the moment. If you end up finding out what it is let me know and I’ll keep you posted as well

I'm guessing you already checked the fluid level and pressure, low fluid can make it slip and slam from gears.

Mine does roughly the same once it gets to around 45-55 I believe 3rd gear into 4th but am not 100% certain

Mine (sometimes) when I’m on the highway it’ll happen the most. If I were to get on it at a certain gear it’ll slip or grunt a little. I gonna put in some transmission slip fluid if it fixes problem then great. If not I’m gonna have to take a look in the transmission other than that it’s perfect and smooth. Just did transmission fluid change and filter change. Might have a little slip at some points . It don’t hurt anything. Might just slip sometimes

My 08 5.7 was down shifting more than it should on a slight grade. I got a line pressure booster and it fixed it. SONNAX LINE PRESSURE BOOSTER

Mines does something similar. If I have it in drive and anywhere from 45 to 55 sometimes it feels and sounds like it goes back and forth between the gear I’m in and even a lower gear. Really weird. Maybe I’ll change the plugs and see what happens. Mine has about 110,000 on it. It’s a 2008 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi. I checked the fluid and at Hot it’s a little low but I really don’t think that could be it.? Whatcha think? Thanks for any help. Big Jim.

Looks like the torque converter clutch circuit is shot. Not allowing it to stay locked up

Idk if its what happened to you, but i had the same issue to an extent, my truck throttle would act like it wanted to kill the truck at high speeds and in park, found that it was the Throttle Position Sensor. Figured I would throw that out there for anyone having the issue

What about the tcm? I got p0700. Quick tip to check code. Turn the key over to aux 3 times. But do not turn the truck on. It will pop up the code.

Ps I got away for a while using the red ring one from the auto parts store that goes in the trany but it stops communicating with the blue ring one and the purple one oh my God don’t use it

There is a censure under in the trany and one under your alternator the one in the trany is a red rubber ring and the the one under the alternator is a blue ring ...they talk to each other but when or if you have a theft key that’s chipped programed by the dealer po633 goes bad it throws the po700 and I’ve found that going to the dealer or dodge mopar dealer that the one under the alternator is the brains behind it ...I payed the 72 bucks changed out the blue ring one “ do not use the purple rubber ring one from the auto parts store ... it has to be “Mopar”

@@badillo280 the problem just went away on its own, but I've read in a forum somewhere that the problem is in the valve body. My truck didnt give out a code.

Omar Guzman same thing that’s happening with mines no code but I took it to a muffler shop thinking it was the catalytic converters and they pulled that code with there computer. But sadly mines hasn’t gone away. I had the truck for 3 years and has the problem since I bought it

I have an 07 4.7 with 225k miles and mines doing the same thing right about 60 and sometimes going up a hill around 35. Sometimes it just jumps a couple times and sometimes it getts stuck in a kind of stutter and doesnt stop till I pump the gas

Had the same "brake check" issue. Had a buddy rebuild the transmission and new torque converter. It kept doing it. He reused the valve body, so he swapped it and the issue went away.

Our Dodge 1500 5.9 liter now is downshifting when we try to speed up. We were thinking the TCM needs flashed since transmission was rebuilt.. do you mind me asking if you got your TCM flashed after yours was rebuilt?

@@kristineck2761 Adapted Values were reset in the TCM and there was an ECU update available, which he did perform.

@@kristineck2761 With a new build, it will shift irregular. Maybe delayed engagement or even harsh shifting. As time progresses, the TCM will relearn your driving habits and correct itself.

Check the MDS solenoid. When you get cruise speed the hemi 5.7 become 4 cylinder and if the solenids are bad goes back to 8 cylinder. If not, check the pedal position sensor or the TPS. But dont waste money on transmission.

They didnt add MDS on the ram 1500 until 2006, his is a 2003.

Torque converter clutch is bad.. there’s a lock up that occurs in OD and you can see how the needle is sporadic. It means it is opening up when it should be locked. Normal wear and tear at this mileage you can have the transmission rebuild and replace the TCC. Hope that helps
