I'm 36 and 'Stones' is my alarm clock song. It's been 17 years since the last time I played UO. So many good memories 😊

I still have my Sega Genesis hooked up. NHL 94 is still one of the best video hockey games ever made. I like how Jeremy Roenick is better than Gretzky and Lemieux combined😅. The programmers must of been Blackhawk fans.

Even thought it is a brilliant Arcade conversion, it is also challenging and frustrating 😹. I had that game for my Commodore 64 in a compilation called KARATE ACE (boxed, tape). The NES version of this game looks excellent 😺👍🕹️. A big retrospective like 👍🕹️ from Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮.

It's missing quite a few non Sir Tech Wizardry games. Also, as a fan of the original games, especially Crusaders of the Dark Savant, everything after 7 and maybe 8 (8 was too combat heavy for my taste) became a devolution. This includes most games that copied the Wizardry formula (I wonder if you could actually call it the Akalabeth formula). Wiz 7 had a whole, seamless world to explore in its first person style, something I hoped Shining the Holy Ark would also offer, when I saw first screenshots. It didn't but is still a great game. Tale of the Forsaken Land adds some interesting things but still went with a pure dungeon romp. Many "modern" Wiz clones (not to be confused with Dungeon Master or Might & Magic clones) are getting quite boring and repetitive, reminding me more of early Wizardry games. I wanted to like the Etrian Odyssey games for example, but I always had to force myself to play further. Wizardry Online I tried many years ago on the Japanese servers, when it was still in development. It fell of my radar afterwards. I find it funny how the Wizardry VA trailer counts the years from 1981 up, even though it everything after Wiz 8 has nothing to do with the original devs and is only Wizardry in name.

Awesome video. Have to goo through the list to see what games I might have missed. Finally finished Anvil of Dawn and another play-through of Shining the Holy Ark last year. Still need to continue Black Crypt, Wizardry 6 and my latest play-through of M&M World of Xeen on original hardware. Also need to do another Wizardry 7 play-through. Then I started Dungeon Hack again but randomized dungeons become boring quite quickly. Realms of Arkania / Das Schwarz Auge games are not purely grid based. I don't remember, if you could do it in the first one, but from the 2nd game (Blade of Destiny) onward, you could activate 360° smooth scrolling movement. The 3rd game, Shadows over Riva, is missing from this list, but right now I'm not sure, if it still had the option for grid-based movement. Haven't played them in many years, even though I'm a fan of the trilogy.

I wish we had more games that focus on this era in history especially the American revolutionary war and the Napoleon wars . Imagine a game that focuses on the American Revolutionary War but you can fight for the colonies , British empire or French empire . And you could fight in navy and army combat .

Haha nice, I'm hearing more about it being used as educational software in some schools which makes sense (not just Oregon Trail and other MECC products). I never had it in school but I learned about it from the tv show and then I got a copy somewhere (don't remember when or how) and it was pretty fun.

I had played this childhood classic game on my Amiga 500 so many times back in between 1990's and 2020's 😺👍🕹️. I even finished it several times 😹😺👍🕹️. I also played it a little bit on my 8-bit Nintendo somewhere in the 1990's. Now, i still have this legendary classic game in CiB (disk) for my Commodore 64 😺👍🕹️. The MS-DOS version of this game looks cool. A big retrospective like 👍🕹️ from Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮.
