I love our Mexican communities here in Kansas City. Good hard working people. Friendly and fun loving. You mentioned some of the bigger restaurants, but some of the lesser known spots are amazing. El Camino Real has some of the best tacos ever. Best al pastor I've tasted. My buddy moved down to Florida, and it took him a year to find a decent Mexican restaurant. We're spoiled here. I'm sure there is plenty of good Cuban food though.

This would be a LOT better if the "background" music wasn't so loud. It is very hard to hear the narrator who has a soft voice.

Some of this is factual. Some of it is biased of course. One truth that cannot be denied. Coleman Younger and the Raiders were the finest of fighters in recorded history.

I've posted on your other videos about SW Blvd about my dad growing up in that area. My dad went to school with 1 or 2 of the Civella boys at De La Salle high school I think it was back in the early 60's. I believe he graduated in '63.

My dad grew up pretty much on the boulevard in the late 40-s to early 60's. He grew up in a house that is no longer there at the corner of Mercier and 29th on the east side of Mercier. Their home was above a family grocery store until I-35 came in and cut the neighborhood in half and they lost the store. He worked at a gas station down on the boulevard. I visited his parents house in the late 70's before his father died and his mother moved out to an appt. in Shawnee. We often went down to my dad's old haunts and Catholic parish when I was growing up in the 70's and 80's. The stories he can tell about that old neighborhood...it was ROUGH ...even back then. He still gets together with guys he grew up with in the old neighborhood ..they call themselves the "Westside Boys".

Awesome production! Mad respect for your efforts and info. Some of the best photos of historic KC I have ever seen. I’ve been researching the rail line/ streetcar subject most of my life. In the early 90s I remember a plan for a new rail line, Chastain was the politicians name tying to put the funds together. I remember respected elders/teachers saying “it was never gonna happen, big oil stopped it in the 40s.” And the voters said no. Over the years of researching, I have found some conflicting information on the cost of building, operating, and riding. And the converting from steam to electric and many other logistics. I do hope we can restore public transportation in KC. I have done A lot of research and a lot of math, and it should be profitable connecting Olathe, KC, Excelsior Springs, Lawrence, MCI airport. Financially and socially profitable!

The Authors, writers, and General Interest Historians, get sidetracked on "the points used for Profits" from the countless writings and movies. The Cause, Actions, Effects, and Outcomes, are the Outlines, the Framework of each Writers or Researchers recipe for forming their Story. In a few writings, and a couple of movies a truer Orgin of the subject that stimulated the energies that led to the early decisions made by "the James Brothers, and the Youngers". In order to grasp the greater energies, the true values of these family's purpose which led to the events One must take themselves back to the era, to and through the Political Atmosphere, beyond the whole Media Presentations of Stories that, like today, were being produced to influence the Public, and get to what was at the structure of this nation then, and that has continued with but 1 change, and it was not in the favor of this Public nor this Nation. The true purpose and actions that stimulated the Cause of the Civil War, the same that motivated the decisions by the James and Younger Boys to take their actions in what is now Judged a mere criminal behaviors, but was not seen as such by the people of their environment and era: This is my perspective and it is supported by records of the time, and that which unfolded, and has continued to until present. Without writing a variable Book ir Article here, I shall only define the points and reference the individuals that led to the subject addressed regarding the James and Younger Boys, aka Gang, aka Outlaws, etc. The USA had, since July, 1776 and before, been a delicious opportunity for extreme profits and power. The forefathers did their best to design the government such that this could be avoided. A Country that is successful is designed very much like a Corporation. Each d8vidion in a Company/Corporation can be found in the design of a Country. The ability to run smoothly and profitably is the fical point, its the objective, and with the USA its this plus the doing so with a Democratic process, a Democracy. The weak point of a Democracy is that *"it relies on a flow of information, truths, that allow the voting public to make their choices from and vote on".* This requires a Free Ethical Press. (When the Press is Owned by an Elite, a 1% 9f the 1% extreme wealthy individual(s) then they have their own agenda, and their News Media is a most Powerful Tool that serves their desires, at will. The 2 most powerful tools for managing a Public are: (1) Information/News Media (2) Money/Financial Owners ie: Federal Reserve Bank Corporation Theres a 3rd, and that is Religion, the "Fear Factor" and that was established by Constatine, the Roman Emperor whom had his priests establish him a "1 State Religion" (based on what was identified with Yeshua/Jesus) but not to literally reveal exactly what Jesus taught, as that was far to Freeing. The men known as the International Bankers and Financiers used the Social Issue of Slavery to inflict fear in the Extreme Elites of the South. The Plantation Owners whom had 500 to 1500 enslaved peoples, a Free Labor Force, and their Profits 9n Cotton, Sugar Cane, and other resources had made them the Wealth8est Individuals on the Planet, (other than the Financial Guys themselves, and the Lineages of Monarchs). These Financiers wanted to control our Currency, our Financial Markets, Our Money, and particularly Our Gold and Silver, for their Power and Profits. They wanted the Federal Reserve Bank Corporation which they ultimately got under Woodrow Wilson. But, we wont focus on that here. Several Presidents had turned them down, Jefferson vwas adamant that no one other than our own Treasury manage this. Andrew Jackson told the Hell No, they had an assassination attempt upon him, it didnt go well for the guy who tried. lol These are the people who were behind Lincolns (Garfield, and JFK, plus others) But, I digress. These Financiers are a Family, they are the same family today whim own the Federal Reserve Bank Corporation, they also are the Go To for War Loans, they finance wars, and Profit largely frim this. They also own Newspapers, the "Associated Press/AP" and more, plus they have allies that also support them in their ownerships of News Media. They were also behind the Industries of the then era, stock profits you see. The Railroad being the era's flow of Profits. This was what the James and Younger's were motivated to go against. This is the energy at the center of their reality. The episodes likely overwhelmed their goals, but it was them taking on the Power Houses of Extreme Wealth Elites. This is why they were deemed a type of Robinhood. Beth Bartlett Sociologist/Behavioralist and Historian + a Journalism degree Focus 9n the desire, not the undesired. The "Universal Law of Attraction" is key and the foundation from which Jesus was teaching. History holds the truths, rather than 1 individual Author ir 100.

If all our ancestors came from Africa originally it's pretty safe to say smoking and cooking meat over a fire originated there. The Spanish word, barbacoa does come from the Taino though. American BBQ is definitely a blend of different cultures though, like pretty much everything in our country.
