I haven't played it yet so my opinions are based only on your gameplay. First of all I really like how this game retains the fluidity of the original Sonic Adventure 2. It doesn't try shoehorning in the Unleashed type gameplay into a game that doesn't benefit from it. And the dev has added a few new sound effects for moves like the homing attack, thereby letting more modern Sonic players connect to it easier. The new art direction is stellar. This version of San Francisco actually looks like it's lived in and less like a 'level' if you get what I mean. Having said that I do have a few reservations. Starting off with the lighting. Maybe it's just personal taste but we don't need excessive bloom lighting anymore now than we did back in 2005. That can be toned down along with the contrast to give the environments a more even look. To add to this, some light emitting objects can have their luminance values reduced. Not all things glow at the same brightness, be it a Gun robot's bullet or a checkpoint. Either way I can't wait to see a full-fledged version of the Redux to drop.

Perfect? ​​I think that's an exaggeration. This project looks very promising, but there are still many problems to be fixed, such as model animations, hand and face positions. Another problem is the unnecessary way Sonic does pirouettes in the art when he's launched by a dashpanel or when he jumps off a ramp with a snowboard. Is all of this really necessary? It ruins the whole sensation of falling, Sonic keeps doing pirouettes even when he's close to touching the ground. This seems like something an excited and completely amateur fan would do.

I like this mod actually takes advantage of a lot of different enemy types from the game and uses them to enhance the environment and level design. For example, they could’ve just used some springs and dash rings to get you between the air ships, but instead you utilize the black arms. I think that was actually a really good idea as it’s something only this game could pull off as it is a unique mechanic to shadow generations

Man I would so love to see a Sonic Heroes remake. ^^ Cause after all... Sonic Heroes was one of the early 3D Sonic games I grew up with, and naturally... I would so love that. =3
