I was really disappointed in how easy that punctured. We have to go off road some and it worries me about anything sharp.

@@SolidGroundStaging Yeah I was done with P loads ages ago. Even with my gas half tons. LT is the only way to go. Efficiency seemed minimally affected, its more about the aerodynamics with these trucks.

Tow haul mode ramps up the battery cooling BTW.

100% truth. We put ours in tow mode about 10 minutes before we get back to the shop to plug in to charge to get everything cooled before we charge. I wanted to see how much it would regenerate in sport mode. It seams to regen a lot more in sport mode.

Since it was a short trip and not much weight I was trying to see how much regen I could get. Also figured out with this much weight I barely had to touch the brakes.

Was looking at building one on Fords site online. For the highest trim of 85k, you can get any color interior you want as long as you choose black. Lower trim Flash has only option of a different interior color. WTF Ford?

Thanks for the complete walkthrough and sharing your thoughts. I'm seriously leaning toward this trim level but concerned about having to leave the truck outside all winter as it could not fit in my garage. I'm in eastern Canada so it gets a tad cold here for 4 months of the year. Plus the cost & PITA of running a 240v connection to my panel to the garage. It looks like my panel could not take another connection (it's from the early 70s) so would also have to be replaced.

It has been the most enjoyable to drive vehicle I’ve ever owned. I just finished up a ton of towing videos today that hopefully will all be up soon. I’m not sure how much the cold will bother these yet. I’ve seen some videos that are positive about the cold. I ran all of our 240 circuits myself at our house and our shop. I did have to change out the sub panel at our shop to have enough juice for it. It was a pain but thankfully parts aren’t to terrible. If you have a friend that has some electrical experience it isn’t too terrible. They also make some chargers with quite a long factory cable now. So you don’t have to run it too far from your panel.

Great video! I was trying to brainstorm how to add a siren for my ring alarm to put inside detached garage, and one to alert on outside of my home when I ran across your video. I didn't even know ring made those power outlets. They're always trying to recommend light bulbs, floodlights, and other stuff I don't want but never once saw this smart outlet! Ordered my strobes and sirens just now, and will be doing this tomorrow. Thanks for sharing this easy solution!

I have a question can you set it to turn on the outlet when the alarm goes off? I called ring and they told me the bridge will only turn the lights on if you connect it to a ring camera. Thx for any information on this because I want to do like you did and install a siren out side and use the outdoor outlet .

Yes you can get the alarm from the base station to activate the outlet.

great video! I am interested in getting a powerboost- I am curious If you use Eco mode like you are in this video, how much of a local (5-10 miles) low-speed 20-40 mph drive in stop and go town driving will be in EV only? In that scenario, what is your MPG? Above EPA estimates of 24?

Ford Blue Cruise does actually switch to hands free mode if you’re on a road that is mapped for Blue Cruise but it looks like you were not on a road mapped for Ford Blue Cruise so you should try getting on a highway that is mapped for Ford Blue Cruise and make a video on Blue Cruise in Hands Free mode

This was very helpful on a 97 E150. It had only one machine screw left which was loose. Works fine now. Can anyone tell me exactly what size machine screw this takes? know the Torx bit obviously. I was able to do tighten one still there with normal long extension. Can feel the second one is missing so just need size of this to buy replacement? Working now with only one machine screw that is tight.
