funny as bro. I am genuinely thinking about a fifo electrician apprenticeship, you reckon that's worth giving a go? I am a Computer science graduate from UNSW btw, just wanna get in trades.
@apemaster697611 ай бұрын
Apprenticeships aren’t really fifo ever, it’s not worth it for a mine or whatever to spend all that money flying out, housing and paying for someone who doesn’t have much of a clue what they’re doing. They only want people who will get in, get it done and fk off. I’m saying this as an electrical apprentice who would like to run FIFO.

Nowadays money i earned from mining goes straight into the bank. High mortgage interest rate is really ridiculous and cost of living on a sky level. I need to make side hustle to save some during my break.
@fifoinspo Жыл бұрын
Hi mate, what a great point. You're definitely on the right track in having a side hustle. Before you start a side hustle, a word of caution. It's very hard to find people in this industry that will stare you in the direction. Go to places where you can surround yourself with like-minded people at perhaps business events etc. But most importantly find a side hustle that YOU LOVE TO DO.

"roughly on average you can get up to 2 perhaps 4 grand" which one is it bro? I'm making on average 2 k per week as a Telecom contractor for Telstra, when works good I'll make over 3k but will obviously do more work and sacrifice more time. If i work 3 days i'll still clear $1500, lots of time to relax and live life. Work will kill you
@fifoinspo2 жыл бұрын
It sounds like you have a great paying job already, good on you mate. To answer your 2 o 4 grand. It all depends on your skill set. For example a trade assistant role vs a tradesman role etc

So basically, you work hard for good money to support you & your misses, and have the misfortune of being surrounded by bludgers & freeloaders. What a shame! You should tell them "Gold digging stops at the mine" Good luck!
@abdulwahidmire9722 жыл бұрын
Nice tip. That is generous of you mate. Getting the trades itself needs a bloody connection in many cases. But, other tickets may not need such handholding and connections etc.

Yes mate I was there last year. It's beautiful this time of the year. On the other hand its bloody humid during summer. I so miss the dry mess there as it has 2. One for Asian cuisine and the other for westerners. You'll be ok up there mate. One advice would be to WHY your up there. Never for get why your up there and make sure to concentrate on just that advice. But other then that you'll be ok.

@@fifoinspo thanks for the response mate I appreciate it. It's going to be my first fifo position so a very new experience. I have a goal and a reason why but yes that's great advice. I just hope I'll be able to stick to my health and exercise routines I have at home. That will be key to staying happy while working away I think

You're never going to get rich buying jet skis, land cruisers and all the other crap on finance... also hide your money from your family and establish boundaries with the freeloaders in your family and tell them the money is YOURS.

The hide your money away from your family seems to be a great tip
@Mike-ry4ti2 жыл бұрын
@@fifoinspo do tell them or others how much you earn, as someone who comes from a wealthy family I can confirm all it does is make others jealous and think you owe them something. Everyone has freeloading family members you just have to push back at them and put them in their place.
