Deviate sent me a new Dualco grease gun after I let them know that my first one wasn't able to push grease through both bottom ports on the linkage. The new gun struggles with the same port, as well as the rear-most one on the drive side. Do I need to take the whole linkage off and pull the seals to clean it out? Kinda frustrated to be spending so much effort on what should be a <5min service item
@deviatecycles4 ай бұрын
Hi @EgrayDET we're sorry to hear your having some issues with your linkage grease ports. If you could email [email protected] outlining this we will be on hand to get to the bottom of this for you.
@HuckHope3 ай бұрын
I had the same problem, can be fixed by cleaning out ports with isopropyl alcohol and a pick to loosen up the ports, especially if they arent regularly used.

I was brought up on Coulin estate, from 4 years old until almost 20 when I had to leave. The little hut you stopped at has always been called "The Teahouse". A stopping off point when we worked ponies into the hills during deer stalking time. The little burn in front of the hut is the Easan Dorcha, my brother and I fished American Brook Trout there as boys. Great memories. Thanks for the upload.😊

That trail has been on my bucket list for years. Also, the HT550 is not a gravel race, it is very much a mtb race despite the amount of gravel on the route. Most riders are riding hard tail mtb and more than a few are on full sus

Why not have it installed from factory or better still have some proper cable routing inside the frame to stop it bouncing around in the first place??
@deviatecycles6 ай бұрын
There are guide cables installed in the factory to make for easy installation. It's pretty much impossible to install the foam without the actual dropper cable you're going to use.

Merino wool is your friend, it'll keep you warm even when it's wet. And please for the love of God get some waterproof clothing - anywhere in the UK is going to be wet a lot of the time, but Scotland is just colder and wetter than the rest (& the Highlands are usually the coldest and wettest part of Scotland). Wish I'd had this young man's fortitude back when I was his age, rather than now when I'm old and my body isn't up to the task anymore. Much respect to Mr Fairbrother (and wisdom gained I suspect). 😁

Which Nozzle, extension are you using? The long angled is needed for the lower link to rear triangle bolts and also the upper pivot bolt, which is recessed?

Who's filming the third person segments? Because if Matt is wasting time to set up a camera, only to ride by for the shot and then go back to fetch the camera, he's got loads of time to gain back.
@bikeinmotion Жыл бұрын
Nice but why are you comparing your effort to the Kilians UTMB time? You did not do the UTMB course but went in the other direction. Yes you went around the mont blanc massif following the TMB tracks but it has nothing to do with Kilian and the UTMB time...
@BenJones-sk8gz Жыл бұрын
It's literally a bit of fun! Think of it as a "top gear challenge".

@@BenJones-sk8gz Having done the CCC I was at first surprised that I didnt recognize any climb then saw his track on Strava and realized he went the other way around. So how can he say constantly I was behind him xx minutes etc... comon he should have just done the UTMB. I'm intrigued to do it myself now haha
@BenJones-sk8gz Жыл бұрын
It's pretty well accepted that on an MTB it's better clockwise... This was not designed to be a direct comparison to a runner on the UTMB, there were several route changes versus the running UTMB route - made for the enjoyment of the ride.

Is that the right amount? That seems like so much, do you clean up the extra after it squeezes out?
@josh_DeviateCycles Жыл бұрын
There's no hard and fast rule here, as long as it clears out any muck thats built up and the excess grease is cleared away then you should be fine!
