Hi, I've always been fascinated by maces. I'm very beginner and turning 57 (!) in a month. I know you've said in other videos that one can progress by holding closer to the end of the mace, but does my height of 5'4" preclude a quality workout with a longer, 10-pound mace? Or do the 10-pound maces ever come in the 30" length, do you know? Thank you!

Loving all this stuff! Totally new to it. When you say "pack the shoulders", what does that actually mean? I'm thinking pull them back and down, but not sure. Thanks.

Very cool! If you're going to be "super nerdy" then take "The Hero with a Thousand Faces" all the way back to Joseph Campbell. 👍

It’s cool when they show training with some massive mace, but it’s equally cool to see the use of some more less “overwhelming “ tools in order to start when you’re still not yet ready

Hello, where did you purchase that plastic head for the wooden mace? I have a 10 pounder but like the idea of I lite one to train the moves first. I'm a newbie. I've been following you since the RMAX days. Thx

What weight are you using for your flow?
@petercollins19215 ай бұрын
I love the flow routines, instead of just static stances though they have their foundation place. wonder what weight is recommended..🤔

I have the same question, too.
@SummerHuntington5 ай бұрын
I get this question a lot! I am using a 10lb and a 7lb here. Start with a 7 or 8lb from www.whitelionathletics.com code: FlowShala for discount. I like the White Lion mace because they are long enough and have a 1.25-1.5 inch diameter.
@petercollins19215 ай бұрын
@@SummerHuntington thank you your swift reply. For progression, is there a maximum you would go up to for flow work or does that not matter? Assume that if there is a maximum, what would it be for males and females? Thanks again for your time and assistance!
